Well this sucks...

My wife and I went to the OB monday for a routine sonogram. We knew something wasn't right when the doctor called in another doctor. They were unable to find a heart beat and there hadn't been any growth since the last sonogram.

Today we came into the hospital so she could be induced to pass the fetus. Needless to say it sucks. She was only 13 weeks along, but still.

Makes me realize how special our son is. The poor guys has been hugged and kissed to pieces the last few days.

Hopefully we will be home soon so we can start moving on.

I always thought working on a child birthing floor would be such a great uplifting job, i never thought about this side of the job.

I'm so sorry to you, your wife and family. I just went through the EXACT same thing in July and it was horrible. We had just started trying and I got pregnant right away, the first sonogram showed the fetus as too early to have a heartbeat but it wasn't as big as it should be. A week and half later it hadn't grown and no heartbeat, the miscarriage followed later that week.

It was really rough and I'm still getting over it. Just love on your wife and kid as much as you can. Time will help but you'll never forget. I'm truly sorry for you guys.

My sister is pregnant so this story hits me. Everything seems fine but you never know. It's not even my kid but already I worry about it like it is so I can't even imagine this scenario.

Budday... this happen during the third trimester for one of our babies... the ultrasound showed that the poor girl had spinabifida (sp?) and other problems... anyway, same scenario you described... I thought about it every day for years... we too took great comfort in the other kids we had... my heart an thoughts are with you budday... it gets better... stay strong!

This is our second miscarriage. We do have a happy little 2 year old boy at home.

One of the hardest parts is out of three preganacies, two ended this way. When we decide to try again it will be a long tense 9 months.

My wife and I had to do in-vitro to have our twins. You could imagine our excitement when we were told she was pregnant naturally the next year. The doctor had us go for a trans vaginal sonogram. While she was getting it, she began to complain of pain, and I could see it in her face. I had been to countless sonograms with her for the twins, and it was never like this. I voiced my concerns during the procedure, and was told it was "normal" for her to feel discomfort. That night she miscarried. Needless to say we were crushed, but my wife was destroyed. I couldn't stand to see her that way. I'm sorry for your family's loss, and wish you the best.
