Can a person get an itch on their rectum..non Hemmorhoidal or tear or whatnot? An honest to goodness, healthy and clean balloon knot itch? (I am trying to win a bet on this one, I said yes.)

sure! it's called "proctitis" and can be caused by sexually transmitted diseases, or anything that causes inflammation of the lining of the bowel near or in the rectum.

People get proctitis from wiping their horrid asses with toilet paper too, or from crappy ass-hygiene.

So yes, you can get an itch in your rectum that's not from hemorrhoids or anal fissures, but it's generally caused by SOMETHING.

I usually use soap and then rinse well...but not for the 15 min that the creepy old guys used to do at the Y.

I use the shower massage thingy to right up in there and make it nice and clean. I was horrified when I heard that Al Dukes does the same thing.:ohmy:
