.........when you're at home, I usually go with a coffee mug, but the wife uses a cereal bowl.

I usually use these adorable 1/2-cup ramekins my m-i-l gave to me for Christmas a couple years ago for portion control...unless I'm PMS-ing or in a really bad mood.

Then I'll use the biggest coffee mug I can find.

I would think the process of scooping it into another vessel, setting down the scoop or spoon on the counter or tossing in the sink, and dirtying another dish and another spoon, would create more of a mess.

Eat it out of the container like a man and tell her you're doing this for her!
