Yea man, ya GOTTA have a humidor if you plan to keep a cigar more than a couple days before smoking it.
I bought a cheap $20 one years ago to keep a few cigars I wanted to save in it. It's not fancy in the least but it works.

I would love to get a look at Ronny B's. It must me a nice walk in with all the cigars he gets everyday.

I know for a fact that Ronnie donates the cheap, shitty cigars that listeners cheap out on to poor kids.
So that means he brings home like 20% of them. These he keeps in a fine humidor chest, about this size.

I have one at my parents house I will probably take when I move to the new place. I can't remember where I got it, but it was ok because it was free. Since I quit smoking cigarettes I think a fine cigar every now and again can't hurt.

have you smoked for a long while?
I would try the camachos first.
and I rarely buy boxes of cigars. they will take up to much space in the hmidor and for just one kind that i dont know if i will like or not. i will usually buy singles first and see what i like.

for a couple of years now.
the mac's are my alltime favorite- very light, enjoyable smoke. i'll buy a box at a time, even 2.
the cohibas i bought in the dr and i thought they were cubans- they had the seal on them and everything, but they were in plastic sleeves. NOT CUBANS, but what i paid for them, i dont regret it.
hell, the 20 beaut's i have in there now will last me probably about 2 years.

finaly got around to trying somthing JR knockoffs. seeing a JR doesnt carry padron's -i went w/ the padron exclusivo alt. for $1.50 a stick - very good. fairly mellow w/ the body of a padron. it was lacking on some of the flavors though. a couple of the sticks have been a bit tangy from the nicotine; but the rest have been fine. i would still much rather smoke the padron 5000 and pick them up when they are affordable ( not willing to pay more than $5. a piece. they are $7 to $10 in ca. and ut.) so for $1.50 the JR alternative Padron exclusivo was outstanding.

I had a 10th anni a few weeks or something ago and it was surprisingly good.
I was talking with one of the cigar store owners i go in to often. She said they are a really good brand that sell a lot. And some of them are cheap to boot.
Cigars International sells that at great prices.

I almost had to get another box.....but whenever im in a a store ill buy the last two cigars and ask to get the Box as well. Most of the time ill get them.
At a local place they let me take the Romeo Y Julieta box in the picks. Came with a Humi device. I sealed the box with weather stirpping so that it seals tight and now i can use that as a humidor. A little one but none the less.
I also bought a 16 count travel humi as a sale through JR a while back.
as for distilled water vs. the propylene glycol. during most of the years ill uses the glycol mix because it can control the humidity....as in suck in and spit out aqua. oh and you can buy it in premixes so you can buy them at certain humidity specs.
When the cold months are around and I have the heat on i will notice that the humidity gets a bit low. So ill get a clean white paper towel....just a small piece. Splash some distilled water on it then throw it in the humidor. As the distilled water just spits out the moisture.
The reason its a small piece is so that the humidity doesn't flux to far up and down. bad for cigars.
as for the cash. Id get a plastic zip-top baggy for that...you don't know whats been soaked into those bills bro.
Ill get some good links after work too.....there is this one great site out there that i cant remember right now, and my work blocks everything tobacco.
but cigarpass.com is a good forum for cigar talk. I liked it but the people on there seem a bit awnry at times so i just browse around.
oh and if you go over to cheaphumidors.com and sign up for the email they give 10%+ coupons in email all the time. :smoke:

i think boveda even has a direct subscription, where they will send you however many packets you need on a montly basis.
from their site
Our Auto-ship program takes the guess work out of reloading your humidor. Customers can set up their own profile and have Boveda Packs delivered on regular intervals.
You decide the humidity level of the pack, how many you need and at what interval. We keep shipping them until you tell us to stop.
