I will soon be headed to the fields for spring work. That means I can spend 12-14/day in a tractor with my XM and my own thoughts. Hells bells, I don't even have to steer the damn things, only turn them around at the end to the field, fill the planter, fix any problems that arise. As you may imagine it can get boring.

Here are my questions:
If I were to post my cell phone number on this board, would any of you call to say 'Hi' or general give me shit to help me pass the time? (no, I promise I won't save your number for any reason, it would just be for you to entertain me)

And what do you think I may open myself up to by putting my # out there in the internets world? Once it is out there's no taking it back.

Any thoughts?

PM the number to some of the board members you've established a rapport with. You'll hear from some folks that way

Thought about this route. I haven't been on the board all that long, and it seemed a bit presumtuos (no I can't spell).

Get a Virgin cellphone that's prepaid. So you have a separate phone for people to call you. Low overhead, and if it gets overbearing, you can chuck it.

Dave, you also should know that lil internet bots surf websites for information. For example: Yahoo bots surf looking for information so when you do a Yahoo search the information is available to you. You number may pop up in a weird Iowa search after that and you could get all sorts of crazy calls from telemarketers and such.

I've given a bunch of the creeps here my cell number, and we mainly text. With an unlimited plan it's not a problem. If they all called me I'd need to up my minutes in a big way.

Plenty still grows here wild. Left over from the WWII era hemp growing initiative. Don't know if we have a long enough growing season for anything of quality.

I believe there are 1000 combinations for the prefix and 10,000 for the rest of the number. Maybe I'll just sprinkle them in to posts at a later date and see if anyone puts them together.
