Ill usually tune in after rnf, I listen to o and a, for a little in the morning. But I feel there are losing their touch. So instead of catching the replay of them ill listen to ellis. Sometimes he is hit and miss, but overall he's pretty damn funny.

The show is great without Cowfucker, I much prefer Raw Dog and his trust fund to Cowfucker.

I dont like x-games or skateboarding or supercross, but the show transcends those topics and is legitimately funny.

I think " The Jason Ellis Show " is pretty solid. Sure it's a little rough around the edges. And he definitely needs some better people around him. But atleast he's original.

Would you prefer a "not try hard enough guy?" I'm not super into his show, but I want him to succeed because he really seems to be trying hard, and wants his show to get over. I think he deserves it. It's unfortunate that he came into radio so late, because he's got a lot of bad habits and isn't hugely professional- I think he could pull a lot of fans if he straightened that out.

Ellis has actually started to grow on me. I don't listen every day and there are some days I tune in, get annoyed, and flip to a different channel, but there are some days that it is entertaining.

The bravado is pretty annoying at first, but if you listen for a while you can pick up that it's a "character" most of the time. It is interesting to hear the show develop as it is slowly (very slowly), starting to get better with time.

I agree completely. I was listenening for a few weeks but it just got to be too much for me. He comes off as such an ass and all the people around him seem to be there just to kiss his ass and confirm to him how 'awesome' he is.

With the exception of Ron and Fez, I can't listen to any radio show on a regular basis. I mean who can listen to Opie and Anthony everyday with annoying ass Opie murdering the laughter. He's the laughter serial killer.

But Ellis is atleast original. I can see how his " in your face " angle could get on peoples nerves. It gets on everyones nerves at first. But keep listening and you will actually start to dig it. Sure he's very rough around the edges. And he's surrounded by people who bring nothing of value to the show. But he's got something there that could be very good down the road once he figures it out.

I actually would really like the show a lot if it were not for what you said. The bits when he is not talking about how great he is are funny as hell but somehow it always comes back full circle to how great he is at everything. Case in point... they were playing a replay last week (I think) and he was doing a spelling bee contest with some comedian (again I don't remember it was last week).... and it was hilarious how they could not spell some very very easy words.... but of course Ellis got pissed and started shouting at everybody to spell out that he is the greatest skateboarder and bmx rider in the world (or some such non-sense killing the bit).:wallbash:

Oh sure I'll absolutely admit that the stories he says are true... who am I to deny him? In fact his stories are what I love so much about the show... the Chyna story he told on O&A I thought was great and the various stories and characters (including Penelope Cruz's robot vagina) I love but I just think he really puts a damper on everything he has build up with his constant love of himself. He always claims to be the future of shock radio and I think he could very well be if he could stick more with the show and less with how great he is at everything. Now I know I sound like the typical hater... but really I'm not thats why I try to include JE bits in posts so that people know I listen and its more constructive criticism and not just blind hate. Tell more great stories be yourself throw in some red dragons bits and have a great rapport with ufc guys and the show will easily be my favorite. Just drop the narcissism and I'll be all over it...... ok end rant :smile:

The thing is once you get regular listeners you're going to run out of stories and when he goes off the cuff it kinda falls short, but i do agree his life stories are really entertaining. He is also 37 and this whole extreme life style thing isn't really going to hold up in a few years. And really, if he had an American accent I don't think we'd all be as nice.

Yeah, lord knows ron & fez have been going since the 80's and I am so fucking tired of their stories.

What kind of extreme lifestyle are you talking about? Ive been listening for about 6 months now and from what Ive gathered the guy does a radio show and goes to the gym. He was a pro skateboarder and has his own skate company, his friends and family are into MMA and motorcross. Is that extreme? Maybe you think he drinks too much mountain doo?

He must be onto this sentiment.Tully,the producer,is an experienced radio personality and he has been on mike alot more as of late.He gives the show direction and keeps Ellis' rambling to a minimum.I do enjoy the show.

As for having him on Saturday nights,I work alot of weekends and this continual bullshit O&A replay loop has me on the edge.I find the Wing to be a refreshing break from the same 4 hours that get replayed all weekend.Since Ron and Fez are obviously not important enough to 202 to merit ANY decent time slot I'm glad to have him on.
