This has been a great week of best-of's. I enjoyed every one of them. If we have to have another week of them then it's fine with me.
Earl's chest should swell with pride when he realizes that none of the efforts that went into these picks were his.

I agree. All of the "Best Of's" have been tremendous this week.
I especially enjoyed yesterday's replay of Ron's heart-touching baseball break. It reminded me of my own Dad who passed away four years ago at the young age of 60.
No matter what was going on....we could always share our thoughts on baseball and our beloved Boston Red Sox. I was happy that Dad got to see the Red Sox win the World Series just six months before he suddenly passed away in his sleep.
As I listened to Ron tell the stories of he and his Dad and baseball...I could hear the true sincerity in Ron's voice...it's a side of Ron we don't often see on the show as he's usually his funny, sarcastic self. I can honestly say that there were tears rolling down my cheeks as I lay in bed late last night listening to this break again.
Thank you, Ron. Your sincerity was truly moving and it's a story I'll never forget.
It's tough to get a hit in the big leagues.

i concur, these were great best of's. at the beginning of the week i started to question where the usual replays were...then i realized it was because earl didn't pick them.
if it was pops hicks, kudos to you sir.

great week of Best Of's. I only caught a couple, though.
Man, that PaulO meltdown - chilling as hell. Paul, I hope you are dealing with those demons. You sounded like One Flew Over Cuckoo's Nest's Cheswick, Billy Bibbit, and Harding rolled into one.
luckily I also caught Ron's post-Philly win dad talk. easily one of the best things I have heard on radio

It might be the strongest "XM Fez" moment.

Praise Mikeyboy and all the angels of the board who picked these replays. It's so good to listen to all the shows over because you can always find yet another gem to carve into your wall and live by. Thank you for making it a reality as my love grows for all things mod/admin/show. I'm so lonely without a good replay to cuddle up with.

You must not have watched the movie I have on the sundance channel about costa rican belly dancers and their struggle to birth babies for the pottery labor unions and the strife that became their lives. If you had, you'd understand my post.

Oh silly papabear, perhaps you're off you're game today but no matter. The powers that be when MikeyJon and Justboy join forces are just plain unfathomable for meer likes of common posters like ourselves. My sources tell me we are pretty much lucky to have such amazingly thoughtful and truly selfless wizards to rule this roost. I for one bow down to these redwoods among us and thank them for loving the site so much that they twitter all day in happiness due to their ability to make fire with a single keystroke. Men amongst boys, HOW DARE YOU. Gods amongst common street trash is more like it.

I agree. It was great to finally hear that story and I know it's a tired cliche, but baseball really is a father/son bonding sport.
I also loved the Fez and Elfish at Graceland show. I was overseas for that one too and I was cracking up listening to that one.

No, the beginning of the week ruled the end of the week sucked, it was the most I have turned off the show since I had XM. Some bits just lose their bite after time and the dave/franklyn fight was never good, franklyn used common sense and shit like that never works on dave since he lives in another world that will serve him well after hes gone, Im sure.

I loved hearing that interview again with Stephen Baldwin. He didn't come across as an idiot, and when Ron would ask a real tongue in cheek question, and Baldwin would give that real raspy laugh. It had me dying every time. It sounded like ron was having alot of fun with it as well.
