Ok, so here's the spiritual and philo/scientifical kick I've been on translated into a prayer I wrote. I was talking some deep spiritual and scientific stuff with some men recently ...

"Please help me have a more positive outlook for the future so that I may see a more positive reality with my own eyes. May I use this outlook to do a few more things that will see us to a better tomorrow."

Prayer ... the ultimate wireless connection.

Booyah.

That was fine.

"positive reality" is a red flag

what do you mean? It's based off the self help principle of "if you envision something... it will manifest in your life." I'd venture to guess that plenty of religion could be quoted as the same.

There is a lot of power in staying positive, no joke. Even if you don't believe in a higher power, just being aware of positive things more than negative things helps you identify the positive when it comes into your life. So you help yourself fulfill your goals.

I've been trying to convince myself of that for the better part of 31 years now, it's not easy. But I do belive it.

Yeah - I'm sincere... and that's truly the intent. It's this kind of "visualize world peace" thing I've been struggling with a bit. Not like a dippy world peace where we all sit around in white robes and ride the earth... but a more integrated and intelligent and FEASIBLE world peace.. one that would involve compromise and the easing off of technologies (mechanical, economic.. etc.) and would allow us to live on.

I've heard nothing but a shitload of negativity from others (including some on this board) where everyone's kind of 'lost hope' which, for me, translates into "fuck it - I'm getting mine and blaming it on the futility of all our situation because I'm a lazy asshole..." hey! I was too! I guess it's having had my son.

Anyway - that's that.
