Absolute proof aliens exist information.
This has got to be the best proof anyone could ask for. A flying disc was seen by pilots, crew members, and a bunch of other people at the Chicago O'Hare Airport in November, 2006. The whole story was shown on CNN January 6, 2007. This to me is undeniable proof that aliens exist. I think we just might be on the verge of Actual Contact with these extra terrestrials. View the video here. Right click over the link and select open in a new window.
Apollo 11 UFO Video-A must See! Buzz Aldrin describes the bright object him and his crew saw on the mission. More definite proof aliens exist.
New Article which FINALLY proves without a doubt that life exists elsewhere than on our planet. Read this!
Until there is a UFO or intelligent alien life form filmed and broadcast on mainstream TV, it is unlikely that the general population will believe in all the sporadic UFO sightings that people tell us of each year. Confirmation from the Government or Nasa that Aliens really do exist seems to be the proof that we are all waiting for. The fact that it hasn't come yet is what leads many to believe that UFO's don't exist. Yet there is a LOT of proof that they do. I put more emphasis on historical proof then current ufo pictures and videos.
The overwhelming evidence of UFO's from past civilizations on Earth is the most convincing proof I can think of. Giant stone edifices like the Great Pyramid, or the Nazca Lines in Peru are some of the best proof. They still stand today while modern day UFO sightings only last a few minutes. There is no possible way despite what you may have seen on TV that these ancient cultures could have build such amazing monuments such as Machu Pichu, the Great Pyramid, The Nazca Lines or even Stonehenge.
What most likely happened is that after doing many great things on Earth, these aliens took their stuff and left Earth. Leaving behind many proofs that they were once here. Whether we choose to see the truth or not is up to us.
We have found alien looking skulls, ancient monuments that we would have trouble building today, metals that don't originate on Earth, (in China these were found) they were completely spherical and well fabricated.
There are also many VERY believable UFO case files that are not fakable. Yet as I have said before until Nasa and the Government say OUT LOUD, THEY EXIST, we as a whole people will not totally believe in ufo's. However if you are smart and you can see past the ludicrous explanations of ancient wonders, then you will believe in UFO's without that Nasa confirmation.
They may just be hiding it from us, I don't want however to go into conspiracy theories. I don't have any proof of that. The following picture and paragraph are in my mind absolute proof that advanced beings were here on Earth in Ancient History. To think that we are the only planet amongs the many billions of other planets in the universe with intelligent life on it is kind of arrogant and misguided. What makes us so special? Life can form in the most inhospitable of places like in the bottom of the oceans where there is no light, and where temperatures are very unfriendly. There is no doubt intelligent life out there somewhere. Someday we will surely meet some of them.
proof ufos exist
http://www.alien-ufo-pictures.com/pyregypt1.jpgIn this picture that I took in the Cairo Museum you can see that incredible precision with which this gigantic stone pyramid was built. To say that it is precise is an understatement. When I was standing in front of this stone pyramid I said to myself how in the hell could a primitive people 5000 years ago create this. Let me tell you it is absolutely impossible. Unless they had advanced technology... Which they did without a doubt. This stone alone surely weighs 1-4 tons. To move this stone today it requires a large crane.
alien photograph
http://www.alien-ufo-pictures.com/2aliensegyptredsmall.jpgThis is a picture I took in Egypt, notice the heads of the 2 figures in the picture. The abdomens of the 2 people or aliens is also different. It is stuck out a bit, many of the pictures in Egypt portray what I am positive are aliens and many of them have larger stomachs than a normal healthy human would have, they are not a cause of obesity. They also often have larger than normal thighs in association with their bodies, in comparison with normal humans. This picture shows 2 young aliens as their thighs are proportionate. On the next page you will see that they have larger thighs and also longer and more slender fingers. This feature (long fingers) is shown often in Ancient Egypt paintings.
ancient egypt alien photos
http://www.alien-ufo-pictures.com/skull_cairo.jpgThis is a photo of Nefertiti the Goddess who lived in Ancient Egypt, notice this Goddess's head. Her skull is extremely elongated, this would mean her brain would be much larger than a normal human's. Therefore making her extremely intelligent. This is actually a statue of her, it is in a museum in Egypt currently. Several pictures in Ancient Egypt portray some of the Gods or Goddesses with extremely large elongated heads. Is this some coincidence, why would the Ancient Egyptians make such large heads in their photos, carvings, and statues, there had to be a motivation of some kind apart from an artistic one, and in my opinion there is nothing artistically appealing about a large elongated head, so why did they do it? Read on to find out why!
alienThis is a photo of a skull found in Peru, notice the elongated back of the skull. This is one of the many Deformed skulls photographed in the Museo Regional de Ica.
http://www.alien-ufo-pictures.com/skull_cone2.jpgThis is clearly not a human skull, we have been fed a variety of unlogical explanations as to why this skull has this formation. Several like it were found in Peru with small variations. Many artifacts that were clearly of Egyptian origin were also found in Peru dating back to the time of the Ancient Egyptians. However these two cultures and countries were not supposed to have had contact back then being so far from each other. Many odd things are found in Peru, the Nazca lines, a set of animal and geometrical lines engraved onto the ground which extend for miles. Engraving these lines would require a view from above to do them correctly, yet they were not supposed to have aircraft back then. So how did they do it?? This skull gives us a good idea. If they had brains big enough to fit into these skulls they could obviously find ways to fly in aircraft or spacecraft no doubt. A photo of other skulls found in Peru are below.
ancient aliens
http://www.alien-ufo-pictures.com/akhnatonbabies.jpgThe next picture is an engraving in Ancient Egypt, notice the hats worn by the two adults, could they be covering their large heads and skulls? Notice the 2 babies, one on the left has an elongated skull, so do the 2 on the right. Could all these facts be just coincidences? Of course not? We are not all that gullible to keep accepting all these foolish arguments for all these obvious alien things we see around the world. Egypt, Peru, Mexico, Easter Island, we have been fed a bunch of baloney about the origins of all these incredible works and their builders. We are told in schools that the great pyramid of Egypt took 40 years to build and it's purpose was to bury a pharoah. Come on now, are we that gullible and were the Egyptians that gullible? Of course not, who would spend 40 years of hard labor building a pyramid just to stuff a dead body in it after 40 years of hard work. That hardly sounds logical for such an obviously advanced culture as the Ancient Egyptians. They invented their own language for god sakes, are we to think they were dumb enough to spend 40 years sweating their guts out for only burying 1 body. That is the stupidest thing we have been fed by Egyptologists to date. In Mexico the group of pyramids including the pyramid of the sun are known by people in Mexico by legend as "Place where the gods touch the earth." In all evidence this probably means where the aliens landed. Where they touched the Earth... Think about it, the pyramids are large stone monuments in Mexico with steps going down the sides. What better purpose for the steps than to allow the aliens to climb down the pyramids to the ground. That is the most logical reason for their construction. And to think that primitive people could build something so incredible is well not likely in all logic.

http://www.alien-ufo-pictures.com/skulls_ica.jpgHere are all the skulls found that are elongated at the back. All these skulls are catalogued and genuine. They are all together in a museum.

I don't think this is the only intelligent planet in the entire universe, but I don't believe there's ever been aliens here. In order for someone to reach here, it would be virtually impossible, given the laws of science. A society would have had to form at like 1 billion years after the big bang in order to progress to the technological point of being able to travel thousands to millions of light years to reach us.
And what would they want with us? If they're that far advanced, they've seen primitive societies like ours many times. Why stop here? It would be like you driving down the road and stopping to study a bee-hive.

This very statement is the reason why we can't have an open conversation about subjects such as this. You need to be open to the idea that time is not just as we see it and as we keep track of it. For what is one year on Earth is two years time on Venus.
Besides, we are nowhere near the center of the universe and I'm not sure whether we even could pinpoint the actual center of it. So, any random group of planets in any other solar system may have fully formed with life before Earth did. That would give more than enough time for advancements not only in civilizations but also science.
Also, should this "alien race" visited us (which by all accounts is a possibility, I mean come on, people believe in an all powerful god that we can't see or hear who rules from above) they might have done so because they have seen so much time pass that there is very little records of "ancient civilizations". That could be motivation. Perhaps they wanted to do to us what we did to people throughout our history, experimentation for the advancement of civilization.

If this planet was the first place I stumbled upon and saw the retards living here, I'd get the fuck out of here as soon as possible. But maybe that's why no one has prolonged contact with any alien. They realize what kind of people they're dealing with, and they just get out of here.

But no one can travel faster than the speed of light. No matter the planet or the year.

That's why I said "1 billion years after the big bang". That would barely give a planet enough time to cool and form some weird sort of goop that could turn into an advanced species at some point.
Also, should this "alien race" visited us (which by all accounts is a possibility, I mean come on, people believe in an all powerful god that we can't see or hear who rules from above)
I would guess most people who don't believe in aliens because of scientific reasons also don't believe in "an all powerful god".

Experimentation would be the only thing that would make sense to me. People who think an alien would come here to share their secrets make no sense to me.

It's not a question of speed whether or not other beings could move throughout the universe. Physical propulsion isn't the only way, especially for an advanced race of beings centuries or even millenniums ahead of us, to travel. To assume that because we can't fold space, form wormholes or use any other sort of theoretical form of travel at this point doesn't mean that aliens can't. It's quite illogical to assume that human progress could be used as some sort of rule a far as assuming how fast any other alien civilization could advance. Imagine how much farther ahead we would be if it wasn't for the Middle Ages? Not to mention how far a species could advance that evolved on a planet that avoided extinction level events such as meteor strikes.

The wormholes and folding of space are things I've considered. I just don't think we're special enough to warrant the visit, if someone was able to do that.
If a civilization could do something like that, I'd assume they'd be able to see through the universe much better than we could. They'd clearly see that we're so primitive that we haven't even been able to colonize even our puny little solar system, let alone our galaxy. We'd be a single cell organism to them.

The elongated skull thing though... That's an ancient form of body mutilation/modification called Head Banding (http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/71151/body-modifications-and-mutilations).
Deformation of the skull is the best-documented form, largely because archaeological skeletal remains clearly show its presence. Tabular deformations are produced by constant pressure of small boards or other flattened surfaces against the infant’s head (see head flattening (http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/258067/head-flattening)). Annular deformations are produced by a constricting band; each kind is subdivided according to the resulting head shape, which is often strikingly different from the unmodified skull. Cases of cranial (http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/141819/cranium) modification are known from all continents except Australia and Oceania, although it was rather rare in Africa south of the Sahara and apparently absent from South India.
The wormholes and folding of space are things I've considered. I just don't think we're special enough to warrant the visit, if someone was able to do that.

The writer John Keel posited a theory about multi~dimensional beings. That's why they disappeared, they didn't travel linearly, they didn't fly away they just jumped dimensions. I am sure there is intelligent life beyond the Earth, I just doubt that unless there is a way to travel more swiftly than light that these beings would not spend so much time to travel here. Why go though such an expense and effort just to go and not make official contact? It just seems silly to me if you think about it logically. I use to fantasize about it as a child, and was always a fan of sci-fi and all that. Its mentioned above where there is contact between the Egyptians and aliens, but why would aliens contact the Egyptians then and not us now, now that we are more developed?
Think about it. In a limitless universe, it is almost impossible that life would evolve here and no where else. Its much more likely that the universe is teeming with life. But the laws of science is a universal law, and unless they are exploiting wormholes or have a way around Einsteins theorys and the speed of light, it is very difficult to imagine that even the closest star is 3 light years away. That's a six year round trip, if you could get to light speed...

In the highlands of Bolivia there is a site called Puma Punku which has megalithic structures so large and so profound that scientists have yet to figure out how not only how they were carved, but how they got there. It is around 17,000 years old.
The stones in Puma Punku are made up of granite, and diorite, and the only stone that is harder that those two, is the diamond. If the people who built this place cut these stones using stone cutting techniques, then they would had to have used diamond tools.

Could mankind have been helped evolve by aliens who arrived here thousands of years ago? There is some damn good evidence that points in that direction. From the Nazca lines (there are some in the U.S. too) to exact celestial measurements and facts (The Dogon tribe of Africa knew about all the planets - including the outer ones long before modern man "discovered them). There are thousand year old cave paintings in Utah and Australia that are the same. Ever check out the history of ancient India? It's full of flying machines and gods coming down from the skies in wheels of fire.

Professor Michio Kaku on UFO's and Time Travel
Some people claim that extraterrestrials have already visited Earth in the form of UFOs. Scientists usually dismiss the possibility of UFOs because the distances between stars are so vast. But last year the French government released a report by the French National Centre for Space Studies, which included 1,600 UFO sightings spanning 50 years, including 100,000 pages of eyewitness accounts, films and audiotapes. The French government stated that nine per cent of these sightings could be fully explained, that 33 per cent had likely explanations, but that it was unable to follow up on the rest.
The most credible cases of UFOs involve a) multiple sightings by independent, credible eyewitnesses and b) evidence from multiple sources, such as eyesight and radar. For example, in 1986 there was a sighting of a UFO by JAL flight 1628 over Alaska, which was investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration. The UFO was seen by the passengers of the JAL flight and was also tracked by ground radar. Similarly, there were mass radar sightings of black triangles over Belgium in 1989-90 that were tracked by Nato radar and jet interceptors. In 1976, there was a sighting over Tehran, that resulted in multiple systems failures in an F-4 jet interceptor. But what is frustrating to scientists is that, of the thousands of recorded sightings, none has produced hard physical evidence that can lead to reproducible results in the laboratory. No alien DNA, alien computer chip or physical evidence of a landing has ever been retrieved.
We might ask ourselves what kind of spacecraft they would be. Here are some of the characteristics that have been recorded by observers.
a) They are known to zig-zag in midair;
b) They have been known to stop car ignitions and disrupt electrical power;
c) They hover silently.
None of these characteristics fits the description of the rockets we have developed on Earth. For example, all known rockets depend on Newton's third law of motion (for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction); yet the UFOs cited do not seem to have any exhaust. And the g-forces created by zig-zagging flying saucers would exceed 100 times the gravitational force on Earth - the g-forces would be enough to flatten any creature on Earth.
Can such UFO characteristics be explained using modern science? In movies it is always assumed that alien beings pilot these craft. More likely, however, if such craft exist, they are unmanned (or are manned by a being that is part organic and part mechanical). This would explain how the craft could execute patterns generating g-forces that would normally crush a living being.
Any alien civilisation advanced enough to send starships throughout the universe has certainly mastered nanotechnology. This would mean that their starships do not have to be very large; they could be sent by the millions to explore inhabited planets. Desolate moons would perhaps be the best bases for such nanoships. If so, then perhaps our own moon has been visited in the past by a civilisation similar to the scenario depicted in the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey, which is perhaps the most realistic depiction of an encounter with an extraterrestrial civilisation.
http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/G/posters/dfmp_0054_2001_a_space_odyssey_1968.jpg
Some scientists have scoffed at UFOs because they don't fit any of the gigantic propulsion designs being considered by engineers today, such as ramjet fusion engines, huge laser-powered sails and nuclear pulsed engines, which might be miles across. But UFOs can be as small as a jet aeroplane, and can refuel from a nearby moon base. So sightings may correspond to unmanned reconnaissance ships.

Time is one of the great mysteries of the universe. We are all swept up in the river of time against our will. Around AD400, Saint Augustine wrote extensively about the paradoxical nature of time: 'How can the past and future be, when the past no longer is, and the future is not yet? As for the present, if it were always present and never moved on to become the past, it would not be time, but eternity.' If we take Saint Augustine's logic further, we see that time is not possible, since the past is gone, the future does not exist, and the present exists only for an instant.
http://www.episcopalnet.org/Pictures/StAugustine.gif (http://www.episcopalnet.org/READINGS/index.html)
In 1990, Stephen Hawking read papers of his colleagues proposing their version of a time machine, and he was sceptical. His intuition told him that time travel was not possible because there were no tourists from the future. If time travel were as common as taking a Sunday picnic in the park, then time travellers from the future should be pestering us with their cameras. There ought to be a law, he proclaimed, making time travel impossible. He proposed a 'Chronology Protection Conjecture' to ban time travel from the laws of physics in order to 'make history safe for historians'.
The embarrassing thing, however, was that no matter how hard physicists tried, they could not find a law to prevent time travel. Apparently, time travel seems to be consistent with the known laws of physics. Unable to find any physical law that makes time travel impossible, Hawking recently changed his mind. He made headlines when he said, 'Time travel may be possible, but it is not practical.'
Time travel to the future is possible and has been experimentally verified millions of times. If an astronaut were to travel near the speed of light, it might take him, say, one minute to reach the nearest stars. Four years would have elapsed on Earth, but for him only one minute would have passed, because time would have slowed down inside the rocket ship. Hence he would have travelled four years into the future, as experienced here on Earth. (Our astronauts actually take a short trip into the future every time they go into outer space. As they travel at 18,000 miles per hour above the Earth, their clocks beat a tiny bit slower than clocks on Earth. The world record for travelling into the future is held by the Russian cosmonaut Sergei Avdeyev, who orbited for 748 days and was hence hurled .02 seconds into the future.) So a time machine that can take us into the future is consistent with Einstein's special theory of relativity. But what about going backwards in time?
If we could journey back into the past, history would be impossible to write. As soon as a historian recorded the history of the past, someone could go back into the past and rewrite it. Not only would time machines put historians out of business, but they would enable us to alter the course of time at will. If, for example, we were to go back to the era of the dinosaurs and accidentally step on a mammal that happened to be our ancestor, perhaps we would accidentally wipe out the entire human race. History would become an unending, madcap Monty Python episode, as tourists from the future trampled over historic events while trying to get the best camera angle.

But perhaps the thorniest problems are the logical paradoxes raised by time travel. For example, what happens if we kill our parents before we are born? This is a logical impossibility. It is sometimes called the 'grandfather paradox'.
There are three ways to resolve these paradoxes. First, perhaps you simply repeat past history when you go back in time, therefore fulfilling the past. In this case, you have no free will. You are forced to complete the past as it was written. Thus, if you go back into the past to give the secret of time travel to your younger self, then it was meant to happen that way. The secret of time travel came from the future. It was destiny. (But this does not tell us where the original idea came from.)
Second, you have free will, so you can change the past, but within limits. Your free will is not allowed to create a time paradox. Whenever you try to kill your parents before you are born, a mysterious force prevents you from pulling the trigger. This position has been advocated by the Russian physicist Igor Novikov. He argues that there is a law preventing us from walking on the ceiling, although we might want to. Hence, there might be a law preventing us from killing our parents before we are born.
Third, the universe splits into two. On one timeline the people whom you killed look just like your parents, but they are different, because you are now in a parallel universe. This latter possibility seems to be the one consistent with the quantum theory.
The film Back to the Future explored the third possibility. Doc Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd) invents a plutonium-fired DeLorean car, which is actually a time-machine for travelling to the past. Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) enters the machine and goes back and meets his teenage mother, who then falls in love with him. This poses a sticky problem. If Marty's teenage mother spurns his future father, then they never would have married, and he would never have been born.
The problem is clarified a bit by Doc Brown. He goes to the blackboard and draws a horizontal line, representing the timeline of our universe. Then he draws a second line, which branches off the first line, representing a parallel universe that opens up when you change the past. Thus, whenever we go back into the river of time, the river forks into two, and one timeline becomes two timelines, or what is called the 'many worlds' approach.
This means that all time-travel paradoxes can be solved. If you have killed your parents before you were born, it simply means you have killed some people who are genetically identical to your parents, with the same memories and personalities, but they are not your true parents.

UFOlogy IS the postmodern religion. Even after Bu$h got elected by playing to Christian fundamentalists, a survey revealed that more folks believed in ETs than in religion/god.
OMG!!!!
I never knew how erotic space people could be.
Someday I want to find one of these space women. I'm not sure what I would do with her, but I wouldn't play cribbage. THAT"S FOR SURE!!!
HEHEHEHEHE.
I really like everyone's posts here on this thread. Chuckwagoncook got me into UFOlogy and stuff like that.
Even the skeptics have a part in this thread (maybe someday I can have my own forum too.). The Skeptics keep the dream moving. Without them there would be no need to display proof.
A lot of great points by all of you.
Keep up the good work.

Count me in RubeI really do love you Dr. Joe K.
It's the little things in my life.
But no one can travel faster than the speed of light. No matter the planet or the year.
That's why I said "1 billion years after the big bang". That would barely give a planet enough time to cool and form some weird sort of goop that could turn into an advanced species at some point.
I would guess most people who don't believe in aliens because of scientific reasons also don't believe in "an all powerful god".
Experimentation would be the only thing that would make sense to me. People who think an alien would come here to share their secrets make no sense to me.
You should check out a book titled.....
Von Daniken's Chariots of the Gods
In Chariots of the Gods, von Daniken collected and documented evidence from around the world that supports the idea that the bulk of human achievement across the millennia can be attributed to the influence of alien civilizations, merely passing through.
Here's a video Documentary on the book.
But the book is still better.

I will defiantly read that book Mr. Man. It seems like it will be a really cool read.
Please post here more often. Mikeyboy said that maybe if there is enough interest in this thread he would maybe think about giving me a sub/side Forum where I could be a MOD.
That would be the bestest EVER!!!
BTW- I really do think that there has been a civilization that was more advanced than ours living here before us. But more advanced in a different type of way. More of a psychologically advanced civilization..
And the Lord God Almighty could of been a Alien. Maybe. But don't tell my Mom. She goes to the Baptist Church every Christmas and she would get mad at me for saying that.

maybe theyre in our solar system and we dont even know it and wouldnt have to travel as far to get to us ??
maybe we arent the first form of a civilization, maybe we are the last ??

One day, I was walking the dog at around 9:35 PM. It had been raining all day, yet the skies were clear. I was looking at the stars and watching the air traffic in the area after having dinner with chuckwagon. I continued walking, and facing west, noticed something moving in the sky. I looked up to observe a very small, very dimly lit triangular object moving roughly northwest, very quickly.
It had very small, very dim, white lights on the bottom, at least 6 or 8, and appeared to be very low, under 5,000 ft by my estimation. There was absolutely no sound, and the street I was nearby was very quiet at the time. The object moved very quickly, and went behind the apartments ahead of me before I had a chance to get to a better viewing position.
This object was clearly not a helicopter, small plane, or commercial aircraft. It was too small, too quiet, too dimly lit, and too fast.
I was immediately struck with disbelief, and felt like it had to be something easily explainable, but the more I thought about it, the less likely that seemed.

Scientists discover a nearly Earth-sized planet
HATFIELD, England – In the search for Earth-like planets, astronomers zeroed in Tuesday on two places that look awfully familiar to home. One is close to the right size. The other is in the right place. European researchers said they not only found the smallest exoplanet ever, called Gliese 581 e, but realized that a neighboring planet discovered earlier, Gliese 581 d, was in the prime habitable zone for potential life.
"The Holy Grail of current exoplanet research is the detection of a rocky, Earth-like planet in the 'habitable zone,'" said Michel Mayor, an astrophysicist at Geneva University in Switzerland.
An American expert called the discovery of the tiny planet "extraordinary."
Gliese 581 e is only 1.9 times the size of Earth — while previous planets found outside our solar system are closer to the size of massive Jupiter, which NASA says could swallow more than 1,000 Earths.
Gliese 581 e sits close to the nearest star, making it too hot to support life. Still, Mayor said its discovery in a solar system 20 1/2 light years away from Earth is a "good example that we are progressing in the detection of Earth-like planets."
Scientists also discovered that the orbit of planet Gliese 581 d, which was found in 2007, was located within the "habitable zone" — a region around a sun-like star that would allow water to be liquid on the planet's surface, Mayor said.
He spoke at a news conference Tuesday at the University of Hertfordshire during the European Week of Astronomy and Space Science.
Gliese 581 d is probably too large to be made only of rocky material, fellow astronomer and team member Stephane Udry said, adding it was possible the planet had a "large and deep" ocean.
"It is the first serious 'water-world' candidate," Udry said.
Mayor's main planet-hunting competitor, Geoff Marcy of the University of California, Berkeley, praised the find of Gliese 581 e as "the most exciting discovery" so far of exoplanets — planets outside our solar system.
"This discovery is absolutely extraordinary," Marcy told The Associated Press by e-mail, calling the discoveries a significant step in the search for Earth-like planets.
While Gliese 581 e is too hot for life "it shows that nature makes such small planets, probably in large numbers," Marcy commented. "Surely the galaxy contains tens of billions of planets like the small, Earth-mass one announced here."
Nearly 350 planets have been found outside our solar system, but so far nearly every one of them was found to be extremely unlikely to harbor life.
Most were too close or too far from their sun, making them too hot or too cold for life. Others were too big and likely to be uninhabitable gas giants like Jupiter. Those that are too small are highly difficult to detect in the first place.
Both Gliese 581 d and Gliese 581 e are located in constellation Libra and orbit around Gliese 581.
Like other planets circling that star — scientists have discovered four so far — Gliese 581 e was found using the European Southern Observatory's telescope in La Silla, Chile.
The telescope has a special instrument which splits light to find wobbles in different wavelengths. Those wobbles can reveal the existence of other worlds.
"It is great work and shows the potential of this detection method," said Lisa Kaltenegger, an astronomer at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.

Guy, these aliens do not think in the same frame of mind you/we do. They'd have totally different cultural referents and language and more the likely they've got a logic pattern that is totally ALIEN to us.
We can't know if they'd regard us as not so special.

This rather remarkable UFO was filmed by a farmer apparently working in his fields in Russia. Not much is known about the video (below), the exact location of its filming or the individual that filmed it. It is receiving a fair bit of coverage on Russian UFO and paranormal forums and many UFO experts seem rather impressed with it.
One UFO researcher, Mr Avi Moas of Las Vegas, Nevada, referred to the craft as a 'Mothership'.
Allegedly the filming took place on May 3 of this year. UFOs are seen all over Russia and the former Soviet Union and for many rural folk they are an almost common occurrence.
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/w4QeXxXAstE&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/w4QeXxXAstE&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
A UFO was allegedly seen by a number of witnesses hovering above a shopping mall in a satellite town of Moscow in Russia early last month. One lucky witness managed to film the craft with astonishing results. The footage below shows the very clear outline of a disc shaped craft that suddenly vanishes towards the end of the clip.
The sighting took place in the town of Kashira, on the outskirts of Russia's capital city Moscow. The UFO was spotted above the well-known Kisharsky Shopping Mall, leading some local UFO researchers to speculate that it may have been tapping into the Mall's substantial energy system.
UFO sightings and footage have never been more frequent in Russia and many local ufologists believe that aliens will soon be openly revealing their presence on our planet.

Where should I go to become a UFOlogist? I can't find a course of study at my local college. Is this some sort of cover up to prevent more people from becoming UFOlogists? I'm tired of selling people plans for making money from home and want to start making some real cash, and UFOlogy seems like the place to be.

History Channel Puts The Strongest UFO Evidence Under The Microscope (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/23/ufo-evidence-revealed-his_n_934229.html#s129374&title=The_Remaining_Incidents)
One compelling case presented in "Secret Access," which has become known as the Rendlesham Forest incident, involved more than 50 military eyewitnesses stationed at the joint U.S. Air Force/NATO bases, Bentwaters and Woodbridge, in Suffolk in 1980.
As the incident unfolded, numerous UFOs of various shapes and sizes appeared near the bases, according to a voice recording of deputy base commander, Lt. Col. Charles Halt during the event.
"This was something of intelligent control beyond any technology we know," Halt told this reporter several months ago. "It's my firm belief that it was extraterrestrial or from a different dimension."
