I overheard two girls fighting about bottled water - just riveting. anyway, one girl said that Dasani water is way better than Poland Spring, and they went on and on and on. So, what water do you drink?

Frankly, it's whatever is on sale - which is Dasani for me.

I hate Dasani. It tastes foul to me.

My favorite bottled water are always the cheapest shit. It always tastes better to me.

The cheap one you fucking idiots. This is where I draw the line in terms of higher cost versus quality argument. Water is fucking water. I admit filtered and bottled is better than tap, but beyond that buy whatever is fucking cheapest.

Dasani is tap water that has been filtered. You can buy your own filter and save money on bottled water.

I rarely drink bottled water but when I do I drink San Pellegrino.

my grandparents live in the Catskill Mountains and they get their water from a well and a reservoire, and it smells awful - like sulfur.

the cheapest one which is usually store brand but sometimes it's poland spring. it's never dasani or aquafina which is interesting because the last two come from the tap and the first two come from springs................hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?????? the bottles are also smaller

They need a water softener.

i am gonna assume, but do the bottles have anything to do with the taste. my thinking is that the plastic sometimes makes the water taste a little funny, especially if they have been sitting in the sun.

I don't drink bottled water. I have an extremely nice filtration system and the disposable plastic botles just seem brazenly wasteful.

Fuck those french pricks for their fancy stupid bottled water. I like my water the same way I like my ass cleansing, from a bidet.

i used to drink Poland Spring exclusively, but now i just use my brita pitcher and keep the water in an fda approved bottle.
it's just as tasty and refreshing, and a lot less wasteful.

dasani as many others are purified tap water.

I prefer the taste of spring waters though most tap waters even without filters are drinking waters and taste great as well as have important minerals in it.

City water is usually cleaner than your well water. Cities like New York, Chicago, Boston spend millions every year cleaning their water. And no one drinks it.

Cleaner yes, but not as good tasting all I taste when I drink city water is clorination.
They say New York has some of the best water in the country. The source is upstate near where I live,

drinking fountain

My second wife and I were looking at an apartment that used to be a doctor's office once. It had an Oasis water fountain, and I REALLY REALLY wanted to live there. She refused because it had the little pee sample door in the bathroom.:furious:

I work in a trendy industry...thus Fiji seems to the water most requested.

Dasani is owned by coke and is just local tap water that's been filtered...poorly.

Just grab a britta, and rock the tap water....its better all around.

I drink water all day and i literally drink several different kinds. In the mornings it's Zepherhills or Fiji for a bottle that I get with breakfast. At work we have a water cooler that comes directly from Zepherhills so I constantly fill up my bottle with that throughout the day. Then when I get home and go to the gym i fill up my water bottle with water from the water fountain. then when I get home I fill a glass up from the Brita in my fridge and drink that for the rest of the night.

I drink Ice Mountain, but mainly cause it's at my work and it's free.

And on a side note, if someone says they are drinking Fiji cause of the great taste, they are full of shit. It's not bad water, but the only reason it sells is because it's in a square bottle.

I filter my tap water at home, but when I'm on the road working I drink tons of Poland Spring.

Aside from an occasional diet soda, all I drink is coffee, tea, and water.

I pee a lot.

I was buying the store-brand bottled water in 35-pack cases while it was on sale at Wegman's ... but I haven't checked the flyer for this week.

I like Fiji once a year ... it's one of the national sponsors for the Avon Walks for Breast Cancer.

Our kitchen tap has a filter and we have a Brita pitcher in the fridge, so I bought Sigg brand aluminum bottles a few months ago ... I carry one to-and-from work and keep one on my nightstand so I don't get dehydrated.

With summer coming up, I'm looking into BPA-Free plastic bottles because they weigh less than the aluminum ones and I can carry them with me on training walks without worrying about tennis elbow.

Now why don't you just take it easy, Group Captain, and please make me a drink of grain alcohol and rainwater, and help yourself to whatever you'd like.

Tap water. Bottled water is the biggest waste of money. And I'm glad that New York is finally going to start charging a five cent deposit on bottled water. I'm sick of seeing all those empty water bottles on the street.

How about that terrible sparkling water they drink in Europe and the Upper West Side exclusively.

I had a hard time adjusting to drinking just still water when I first lived here, we always drink "Mineral Water" which is sparkling water but tastes better than seltzer.
No my family always has still water there for me when I come to visit... and I make sure to have sparkling water here when they come.

It's not really terrible tasting, it's just a matter of what you are used to, and most Europeans drink way less sodas, even the serving sizes at fast food places like McD are smaller... a large cup there is what's a small one here.

Fiji Water Shuts Down in Fiji (http://ewireinformer.com/fiji-water-shuts-down-in-fiji-34590.html)

I remember reading that the company was under a TON of pressure from the green community to leave Fiji due to extreme waste and it's impact on the environment. Also, there are some MAJOR water supply issues in Fiji so I don't see this tax and shutdown as such a shock. Putting both these issues together, along with the area's economic/governmental instability, and you have to think this relationship/business model wasn't very sustainable.

I wish I could remember where I saw the expose on Fiji water and the country's water supply issues. Here we have a country's much needed water supply being used to quench the thirst of the US's population and more. It was quite an interesting little segment on 60 minutes or something like it. I just can't remember where I saw this about 2 years ago.
