it's been 3 days on sirius or from the sirius building and i have noticed way too many bugs with the shows. (O&A-R&F)
the volume doesn't sound loud enough.just random dead spots.
you would figure Sirius would have these bugs figured out or fixed by now.
and.... and... the IRS cop commercial. ENOUGH ALREADY! it's played like 2 times every commercial break.
why was Special Delivery a repeat of 2 saturdays ago show?
and why is the bill burr show UNINFORMED been the same one repeated 3 seperate saturdays now since it debuted in January?
who is dropping the ball on the saturday night virus shows?
thats my rant for today

the Nova was the continuation of doctor's diaries.

Frontline was the World edition. it was about the youth of pakistan and the rise of the Taliban's power and influence among them and about the internet addiction problem of the South Koreans.

i saw some of the American Experience episode yesterday. there are supposed to be like 5 30 min episodes in addition to the 90 min entry.

ESPN is headquartered in New Britain, CT -- the heart of Sox/Yanks/Mets territory and a major media market. Of course there's a bias since they're going after ratings.

Besides, there's always been an East Coast bias in baseball. That's why Stan Musial is so underrated.

Musial did suffer from being in the Midwest.

I wrote him for his autograph at nine yrs old; sent the letter along with a SASE.

The postage went up while I was waiting for it to come back.

The post office passed it through at the old postage; the envelope was stamped with his signature.

It's part of their M.O. Portions of the right are real complainers, and/or like to portay themselves as victims. Look at the recent flap about the Homeland Security report on right wing extremists. One right wing columnist complains that if the report was about left wing, the mainstream media would be in an uproar.

Dave asked what they're complaining about.

Well, what are they complaining about? The Boston Tea party was a revolt against taxation without representation. The only people that should be complaining about that are the residents of Washington D.C. The teabaggers' would have been better off naming themselves after the Whiskey Rebellion, which actually had to do with excessive taxation. What words you choose to describe something and are used to name your movement are important. When you name your movement after something that has nothing to do with your movement it makes the movement look very foolish and ill-conceived.

from a quick google search ...

There are two basic reasons why dessert is always served last apart from tradition. Firstly by enjoying dessert right at the end of a sumptuous meal a person is actually giving his digestive system time to digest the more nutritious components of the consumed important. Secondly eating dessert last also slows down the absorption of the important from the dessert thereby effectively stalling any sudden changes in the blood glucose levels of the body.

some one call in with this and get into the prize closet.

I hate all protesters equally, because they inevitably take their frustration out on the cops who are there to not only keep them in line, but also to guarantee their safety from others.

Also--the stated reason for any protest is rarely ever the only reason for the protest.

That said, protesting is a right, whether youre a republican or a democrat.

Did I argue that they should be imprisoned for doing these protests? That's what someone argues when they argue that someone doesn't have the right to do something.

My points are that the underlying message, a key part being calling it "Tea Parties", makes no sense, because, as ESD said, they have representation in the government. They have the biggest radio talk show host arguing their points. They have a popular news channel advocating their points. They don't need to do the type of protests they are doing today.

I'm not arguing that they shouldn't be allowed to protest. I'm arguing that their protest and they way they went about it is moronic.

Unreal, yet one of the Kennedy children was able to get one (and there were children from the marriage) lickety split. It's just bullshit. My mom was RC, my dad was Eastern Rite. My mother had to send money to the Vatican to petition them to allow her to marry my dad. When I was baptized into the RCC the priest refused to allow my father to hold me because he wasn't a "catholic". Meanwhile, my father's religion predates the RCC by a lot. My mother actually said to the priest, in front of everyone " who would you like to hold her then, the janitor?".

and the main reason i had take a very long hiatus from the roman catholic church in order to rediscover my faith.
