Rf.net Bronx Zoo summer trip?

I was at the gym the other day, and I heard my friends there talking about how Obama is going to take away our zoos. You should run to every zoo possible and jump into the polar bear tanks before Obama takes them away and turns them into communists, just to show how seriously you are against Obama.

I think the summer may be too hot for this kind of trip. From what I heard it is a very big zoo and most animals hide inside when it gets too hot... late spring to early fall is probably better for a visit at any zoo.

The Bronx Zoo is one of my favorite places. We usually go at least once a year. One of my dad's close friends worked on the Sky tram.

Free Wednesdays suck for 2 reasons:

1)You need to pay to get in the cool exhibits anyway.

2)Day care and schools take lots of children there and it's overcrowded.


But you will be 3 blocks from Arthur Ave. and 187th St and lots of good food.

off on vacation this week and we've had a trip planned there for this thursday for a couple of weeks. hopefully the weather picks up again and we don't have to go on a weekend.

Awesome pictures. We've been at the zoo when one of the peacocks got out and was wandering around the zoo grounds. Apparently one of them gets out quite often and just walks around until the zookeepers guide him back to the exhibit. I love peacocks.

Actually there were quite a few peacocks there that it look to me they purposely let roam with people. I saw at least 2 males and a female roaming around with people, walking into one of the shops. I got VERY close to one of the females while it was cleaning it's feathers, awesome pics of that too.

So I think they let them out with people on purpose.
