Lactose Intolerant

i have come to the realization that if i couldn't have dairy, my life would be less.

breakfast - no cereal, good omelets, milk
lunch: any melts!
dinner: pizza, cheeseburgers, many italian food dishes

spring/ summer - no ice cream, shakes, chocolate on holiday
fall/ winter - no hot cocoa, or cookies and milk

the lists can go own!

My real problems were relatively late-onset and to be honest after a while not having dairy I really don't have any taste or desire for dairy at all.

Milk gives me deadly gas now.

I started eating healthier, cut out almost all dairy except yogurt.

Eat a shit ton of fiber now, which actually made me gassier than ever, but it doesn't smell.

ive recently joined the ranks of the lactose intolerant. i love dairy and ate it without problems all my life, so this was a bit saddening. lactose pills saved me. i buy the generic brand and i get to eat all the cereal and cheeses i want :happy:

I am very lactose intolerant. Sometimes the pills don't work or I can only have a certain amount of dairy without it bothering me.

For people who are still drinking milk, why not just switch to lactaid milk and not waste pills on it? Lactaid milk at least is real milk with the pills already basically added to it so you don't have to take any. So it still has the normal milk taste.

I have almost completely switched from moo milk to soy milk. I never realized I was intolerant to the lactose stuff until I met my wife and she ran an experiment in which I stopped drinking milk for a week to see if my constant wet huge farts would stop, and it did. I always just thought I was gassy, not that the huge amounts of milk I drank was destroying the air quality around me.

It's saved me. My daily protein shakes are done with light vanilla soy milk and it's how I eat my cereal now. Rarely do I eat ice cream, but the times that I do the gas starts flowing again.

One day I'd like to sip a tit to see what it's like. Maybe in a year or two if I can get her preggers.

They definitely make Lactaid ice cream and cottage cheese.

For ice cream though I eat turtle mountain or tofutti.
