I am preparing Trader Joe's rice Mac n Cheese mix and it swears on the box that it is the best in the world. I will soon see. Of the mixes (where the cheese is a powder and the macaroni needs to be boiled), which brand do you feel is the best?

I know that home made is usually the best, but I am talking the mix verity here...

Mac n cheese with extra cheese (kraft singles or cheddar) and then some frank's hot sauce.

Then bake for 25 minutes at 375.

I had to add parmesan to Trader Joe's. It was not tangy at all.

Box, never unless you're a broke, starving college student

Boil the elbow mac, load up with parm, cheddar, ricotta and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Serve, enjoy

I can't stand Annie's. I've had their mac & cheese, and their cheddar crackers. They tout that they use only real cheese. Apparently, real cheese has absolutely NO flavor.

That's exactly why I can't eat mac and cheese anymore. I ate it all the time in college and I got sick of it.

That orange stuff isn't cheese...

We pretty much only make homemade now but if it has to be a box I still dig the Kraft Mac n Cheese but it HAS to be the spirals. They taste better to me for some reason. And they have to have enough milk in it so there's a tad at the bottom of the bowl while I'm eating. Me and my sister make it the best.

It shouldn't be called Mac and Cheese and should be "Mac and orange stuff that you think is cheese".

Spirals taste the best, regardless of brand.

That's a fact.

This is a good choice. I know it's just in my head but the spirals taste better. also the way the sauce sticks the them seems different then the elbows. I love these a lot.

I had the wegman's brand shells and white cheddar cheese last night for dinner. It's probably the best mac and cheese mix that I've had. Definitely better than kraft or annie's.

Homemade, no powdery cream fake cheese in packets. It's awful

Use a mix of shredded sharp and cheddar w/ various other ingredients, eggs, 1/2 and 1/2, seasoning, top it off w/ some bread cubes, toss in the oven.. OM NOM NOM NOM NOM

I do the opposite, I put no milk in mine at all, just butter and the powder. I can't stand it when it's wet and if it's soupy enough to have milk at the bottom of the bowl it's pretty much inedible.

Dude!

i like mine with a little extra milk and butter, but you have to mix the powder and milk first so it all blends better.

I do. From the Kraft "Deluxe" line, right?

Actually, I like the Kroger knockoff of it. It doesn't do leftovers as well though.

Wow... I am poor.
