I am down at the beachouse and I spent the afternoon raking up and adding cedar mulch to all the beds around the house. At the garden center there are all different varieties But for 399 a bag for 2 cubic yards of good old fashioned Cedar mulch you can't go wrong.
Everything looks gorgeous
Half the weeds can be covered up.
The smell is amazing!!
All the bulbs that are sprouting really stand out.
Makes the house look like a million bucks.
I also jammed 4 bags of bulbs all over the place so next year tons of more flowers will pop through the mulch.
I pity you city dwelling yuppies.

I did a bit of gardening here today myself, I love this time of year. Mid 80's today in east TN with low humidity, great day to work outside! BTW, I am a cedar mulch man myself. I pay 30 for a pickup truck load of it.

Oh yay, Dr. Joe's out planting his bulbs just like Martha Stewart, spreading cedar chips and goodness!
City dwelling yuppies? Shit, you were probably out there in your little Crocs with the white socks and your Yankees tshirt.

:nono: Until it rains and the dye starts running down your driveway. The Mediterranean types up here love their bright red mulch.
We're getting 3 yards of pine delivered in the AM. Love the smell of that stuff.
