If you’re in the area and are looking for cutlery I’d recommend stopping by tomorrow.
Wusthof and Henckels ( in Elmsford ) run these sales a couple times a year, usually before
Thanksgiving or Christmas. I’ve been going to both of them for years but this one
Is very different.
Wusthof is closing their NY headquarters ad moving to Connecticut. They’re dumping as
much inventory to avoid moving it. Good pricing on Wusthof pieces – nothing over $40 - $50.
Their Henckels pricing is insane.
From what I gathered from the knife chicks Wusthof signed some sort of exclusivity agreement
with William Sonoma and agreed to buy out all of their Henckels stock. They’re basically liquidating
their competitors pieces in this bizarre combo sale.
Henckels major players in Pro S or, if they’re left, Twin Cuisine - $10
6 ‘ or 8’ Chef’s knives or santukos, utility/sandwich, carver, bread, fillet, boning, cleaver,
All $10. Steak knives, paring, vegetable, and shears are $5. Maple knife blocks are $1.
Slightly beat gift sets - in packaging - $20.
Insane.
