I'm still in the true belief that the writers listen to the show.

That phrase didn't exactly originate with O&A.

My favorite part of Whats the Haps is anytime Sam says it to a white person, they ask what it means. Anytime he says it to a black person, they know exactly what he just asked

O & A talk about it all the time. But, besides Seth Green, has anyone else from Family Guy been on there show? Anybody know when the followup to Blue Harvest is airing?

Is Family guy seth mcfarlane? If so he has been on a couple times, but he is kinda boring on the phone so they dont have him call too much

Episodes for animated series other than South Park are written so far ahead of time that this episode might have been written before Sam ever came up with the bit.

Back in 98 or 99 on WNEW I heard Opie use the word 'Family' and 'Guy' one time over the course of a show. That's def. how they got the name for their series

I'm pretty sure that Sam invented language, especially urban slang. What a savior for us all.

It still amazes me the un-hipness of whitey, that one statement should be easy to decipher no matter what race you are.......... for shame whitey!!!!!!!!!

All in the Family totally ripped off O&A with the laugh tracks and racist from NY. That Norman Lear is a quantum leap-making douche. He, why, he... nevermind. This makes no logical sense. Ima not even bother hitting delete on this mishmash. You all have to live with it. Die thread, die.

Seth MacFarlane definitely grabs random stuff from O & A. Just off the top of my head I remember one episode of Stewie reading the funny pages and doing the dumb laugh like Norton used to do right after reading it.

I know there have been other mentions, this isnt the first time its been brought up.

I have heard people use the phrase, "What's the haps?" before. Either Opie and Anthony are self-absorbed to have heard the phrase before or just want people to think they invented something... hoo hoo!

A cool way of saying whats happening or what is going on. Can also be used as a greeting. First used by Sideburns 2003.
