The message board?

After nearly 10 years of listening and close to a year of being a member of the board, I am curious as to why others joined.

I listened for the first time when a friend of mine was in college in NYC and sent me the dot com shows as mp3s in emails. After that I was hooked and then found ron and fez simulcast on a local station only to lose them to a different market only to find ron and fez through syndication underground.

After that, XM existed, I had it since before they were on. My many years as calling in as "John" needed more than that.

I lurked the boards for a long time before I joined. Now, I wonder why you did...

My first message board experience was with the first Hideout one. I didn't join RF.net at first, because I thought they hated DC area people. When The Hideout site shut down, I finally signed up here. I'm glad I did. As much as I liked The Hideout, their message board fans were (for the most part) retarded teenagers.

Because:

1.) I have been drinking

2.) Being a fan of the show doesn't mean you joined (see my 1st post)

3.) I don't know.

No, I moved to Kentucky for a while and didn't have my own computer. Then, when I moved back to Connecticut, I found that Ron and Fez were "gone." That's when I joined to find out what had happened. When I moved back, NEW was gone, and I was like....

i had joined wackbag after reading the Ron LOTD thread, which is amazing. i made one post, pointing out inconsistencies in their complaints. then i read a couple of threads and realized that i just didn't dig the vibe there.

i'm a much bigger r&f fan than i am an o&a fan...i'll listen to o&a, don't get me wrong, but i go through phases where i just can't stand the show/one or more of them, so i won't listen. (i'm in one of those currently) R&F, on the other hand, i can always listen to and enjoy and find interesting and engaging.

ever since i began listening to ron & fez, i've loved the show...like a lot. i was here using the file library for a while, and just kind of decided to join one day.

heard the shows a couple of times...thought it was hilarious. Ron is soooooooooo funny...just soooo quick. I like that kind of comedy, very intelligent actually. I can't keep up with the show, kids and all. I thought maybe I could catch up on the message board. But there are so many other topics and such. I am a little overwhelmed. It is fun though...good way to pass/waste time.
