I'm not talking alcholic drinks, but when you get a water or soda and put ice in it, how much do you like?

I like to fill my cup up with 1/4 to 1/3 with ice and then pour. Anymore than that makes it way too watery because I like to sip my drinks slowly and take my time.

I have friends who fill their whole damn cups up with ice before they even put liquid in it. I don't get that. I know this is very controversial topic and it must be debated!

No ice give it to me cold...

If the drink is piss warm, I go with 15% ice no more, no less

Are you going to throw a drink back in someone's face if they hand you a beverage with 17.6% ice in it?

I am used to no ice... and if so then 3-4 cubes from a tray at most...
keep in mind that at a place like a fast food restaurant a large soda drink is about the size of a small one here... so if it comes out of a cold machine and refills are not free... would you still go for that much ice?

oh and as for iced coffee, I ask for half the ice cause if you don't the coffee tastes like coffee flavored water

Lots of ice.

What, am I going to drink my delicious beverage warm, like some filthy, immaculately bearded, bass-playing European?

No offense, Rich.

I take all precautions to not to have to use ice. But if I do, three standard size cubes.

Nah I just write them off as a low rent piece of garbage in my mind... but I'll smile politely.

I don't know, do you play bass?

And are you insinuating that I drink my beer in a glass full of ice? What kind of wacky European shit is that?

Just remember who saved your German asses in double-you double-you eye eye.

Listen, I understand why you use ice there in Texas...your drink would probably evaporate in 10 mins if you didn't drink it cold.

Moist.

If the beverage is properly chilled I won't have to have it on ice, now will I? If I MUST have ice because some thoughtless monster served me a warm beverage, very little.

You guys keep saying if it's chilled you don't need ice. Drinks are never cold enough for me right out of the fridge, I ALWAYS use ice except a few exceptions like beer and wine but I hate how quickly my beer gets warm. LIke I said, I sip drinks very slowly so I need the ice.

Ice cream comes from the FREEZER! If I could keep drinks in there without them freezing and exploding I wouldn't need ice. Silly hammersavage.

I have seen how they fill the ice into those soda machines... with buckets... that's just prone to filth and bacteria...

hammersavage
05-01-2009, 01:11 PM
How bout this, get a real refrigerator! I seem to put soda and water and iced tea in there and they come out cold enough that I don't need ice cubs.

Maybe your thirsts can only be quenched by liquid nitrogen. With ice cubes of course.

Pop/Soda - just a tiny bit to not water it down.
Mixed Drinks - Fill with ice: Drink it Fast
Water - Fill with Ice: Water is the best at its coldest!!
Now sometimes when we go out for brunch they put ice in my orange juice...that isn't good.

Or maybe you've been sick for years and you just don't remember what it's like to feel well because of your insistence on filling your glass up with bacteria cubes.
