since the temp. of the earth is governed by tilt... shouldn't we concentrate on redistribution of weight on the globe's surface? I mean... if we just strip mine coal and burn it... that's not redistributing anything.
Just a thought.

Please, the poor construction of an eco-friendly bag would still lead to a child as ill conceived as his idea.

There was an idea in a Dean Koonts book about that, it involved a terrorist that was going to dislodge a large chunk of the ice shelf in Antarctica and with the ice's weight, as it moved towards the equator, would cause the Earth's tilt to change and cause environmental chaos. I guess it "might" effect something, who knows?

I don't even have a problem with him. The line was just sitting there in front of me, I had to use it.

This reminds me part of the 2012 mayan calendar end of times deal is that this will happen. (earths tilt will change) Even a little has mass side effects (floods and fire etc.) its said. It might leave a better envorment for who/what is left.
The calander ends then, however the mayans said this is a time of change. Not an end of times.

I recall from my decades old college classes that the tilt changes every 10,000 years.
I always wanted to globalize a "Pump" day where every guy possible pumps (as in fucks) at 6:00pm eastern Daylight time.

Your right, the earths tilt does change by itself every so often. The magnet poles even reverse once in a while too and magnetic north will point towards the south pole when it does. I forget the word for when the earths tilt changes.. Apogee?

It's said that the end of the world shit with Mayans didn't even exist until they knew their civilization was beyond repair.
