when i was a kid we had pickup baseball games. I broke my wrist in a run down- then I had to keep playing cause we didnt have enough kids if i left.

that stuff doesnt happen today.

I was oldest kid in the family, so if we had company i'd just sit in the back of the station wagon without a seat, let alone a belt.

My dad made the brilliant decision to by a compact Mazda pickup when he had three kids. My kid brother and I always got stuck riding in the bed. The only thing that kept us from being taken away by protective services was the bed cap that hid our presence from the NY State Troopers who patrolled the highway to the mall...

most impressive black eye I had as a kid was from the metal dashboard of my dad's car

I was standing up behind the seat and when he hit the brakes the seat just folded and I hit the dash... not one safety feature in that ole pos... the dent in that metal dashboard was a reminder for years
