i got proflowers once and was surprised how great they were. The box it comes in is really nice and feels like a really special gift and the packaging was really well designed to keep the flowers in great condition.

They were beautiful and bloomed for well over a week.

Fantastic.

I'm glad you guys had good experiences. I gave up after 3 attempts.

They gave my wife (then girfriend) 1o dying roses, instead of a dozen fresh.
Another time the candy was rancid.
The last time they forgot to deliver the flowers on Valentine's Day and said they'd get to it the next day.

Fuck 'em in the ass I say! But maybe they learned from my angry letters..

I've been using Proflowers for years now, and they have always been great. Their shipping prices can be a bit high sometimes, but they are better than most flower companies out there. Very nice vases and flowers last a long time.

Did they offer you any restitution? You seem to have issues. Flowers, dentists, hair care...

I've ordered flowers for Liz 5x times, never a problem.

 You're absolutely right, my luck stinks! I might as well change my boardname to "Mush"...

They did make things right, but I was tired of dealing with the headache so I just use local florists now..

I got a shipping notification last night in my E-mail which was nice so I could keep an eye out for the UPS guy today.

Got the box, showed up fine. I used the Ron and Fez code to get a free glass vase which is nice because you need a vase and this saved me going to Wal Mart or something to get a vase to put these in.

I decided to the the 100 blooms deal. I cut an inch off each stalk, put water and the included plant food in the vase, took off all limp leaves and tried my best to arrange them in the vase.

Pretty sure this will be a hit. If I can remember I'll take another photo of them when they are all in bloom. I'll take them outside so the flash doesn't wash the beautiful colors out like it did in my above pics.

Not sure if it's too late to order but I recommend Proflowers. Used them last year with great results too, and I am always more than willing to help out The Buddays. If you use their code it lets the sponsors know that their advertising dollars were well spent and they will use them again.

I prefer 1800Flowers. I guess delivering them in a box keeps the flowers more fresh but I don't want to spend that kind of money to arrange the flowers myself. Send them already pretty in a vase please.

That's what I used to send flowers to Nana a few years ago.

I also sent my dad flowers, for Mothers' Day, at work the same year. (He cried.)

Last year, I sent my mother chocolate covered strawberries from Secret Spoon. She said I'm now good on presents for another 10 years or so.

i dunno why, but i always have a problem with them. i think i brought this up once before cause there was already a thread, but so many times they delivered late, or not at all.

this past christmas they delivered a box of just stems to my sister-in-law. JUST STEMS!! she had to call them up & have them send over a new bouquet. plus, it was a day late again.

i was like a glutton for punishment because i kept going back to them cause their prices are so good. i finally gave up after the box of stems. i will not give them my money anymore.

Yeah, I fully expected a spanking on the shipping... But not thirty bucks just in the "GET IT THERE BY MONDAY" fee.

My total for the 19.99 dealie would have been 70 bucks.

ummmmmmmm. Nope.

Lesson learned.

Well no, I wouldn't pay that either. For $70 bucks you can get a VERY nice arrangement from local florist, no chance of shipping damage and it will come arranged.

Why are you bringing flowers to a wedding?

My friend's got married. They don't have a lot of money and got married at the local court house with a few close friends and family. When I found out she wasn't going to have flowers it really bothered me for some odd reason. I guess that old traditional part of me wanted to make sure my friend had flowers on her wedding day.

I had no time after I found out so it was only a $20 dollar bouquet from a supermarket but at least she had flowers.

When my sister was pregnant my mom and I planned her shower at a local hall. My mom passed away when she was six months pregnant. I couldn't afford to throw the shower by myself. My cousin let me use her house, 2 other cousins made the favors and food. To thank them I ordered flowers from 1800flowers. They were so impressed how they were delivered and how long they lasted.

My husband used proflowers this past valentines day. They never got them here on Valentine's. He called and bitched. They sent new ones out and gave him a full refund on his credit card. So I got one bunch 2 days after Valentine's. I got the original bouquet about 2 weeks later. They had been everywhere in the USA. They were still alive, just not that perky.

my tulips arrived pre-bloom which to me, is a mark of a great florist. most of the time when your flowers arrive looking exactly like they do on the website, they will be dead in 24 hours or less. and they had really good care instructions.

i've used 1800 in the past and they were always fine, but i thought that the way proflowers sent them, including the box they came in, made me feel like i was getting a gift much more than other companies which usually arrive in a kind of generic box, and that really added to the surprise and fun of getting flowers. plus they were better blooms, lasted longer and were more fragrent. fragrant? they smelled better. :)

The Happening

My mom and I hadn't spoken in 10 years. Ever since I caught her putting drano in my lasagna for the 7th time, I just felt I couldn't trust her anymore. Then their was the time I was waiting for my blood test results, and she called from a friends claiming to be my doctor. She said I had tested positive for both Aids and down syndrome. I was devastated. The last straw came when my mom told my son that I wasn't really his father, and that I stole him from a rich family in Beverly Hills. My son was only 3 weeks old at the time, but he hasn't looked me in the eye since. Sometimes through my peripheral vision, I can see him throwing up what I believe to be gang signs at me. So it had been 10 long years since me and my mom last talked. While listening to Fez give his 75th ProFlowers live read of the day on the Ron And Fez Show, I figured I'd give ProFlowers a shot. Because you only have one mom, right? I decided not to wait until mothers day, since my mom usually sets Sunday's aside for drug deals. I was in no mood to fight a cuban guy with a chainsaw just to give mom some flowers. Anyway, I went over to present my mom with a bouquet from ProFlowers. It took her a few minutes to notice the flowers, since her first instinct was to put a knife to my neck. But once she saw the beautiful arrangement of flowers I had given her from ProFlowers, she hugged me. Needless to say, me and mom have patched things up. Mom's even stopped referring to me as "the abortion that should have been"(Long story. Basically mom's car broke down on the way to get me aborted. She was so high on heroin that she fell asleep on the side of the road, and forgot what she was supposed to be doing. Anyway, by the time she remembered it was much to late. I still have a scar on my head from mom's last ditch effort though. I don't use hangers to this day because of it!). Thanks ProFlowers!

Saw the arrangement this morning, looks really nice. Every one of the flowers bloomed nicely. I'll try to remember to take a pic of them today or tomorrow and post it again.

My mother likes these better than the assorted roses I got her last year, she thinks roses are too delicate. I don't know shit about flowers but I do know that I thought the roses were nice looking and I really like this 100 blooms assortment.

One with flash, one without, outside in more natural light.

I'm very satisfied with the results. Changed the water and added 2nd packet of plant food that came with the shippment. If they keep up like this they'll last longer than the 7 day guarantee.

I used proflowers.com, it worked out well, it got there a couple days before Mother's Day (because I didn't want stuff to go wrong and I really didn't need to pay more for it to arrive on time when it could be cheaper to arrive early and then have the flowers open on Mother's Day)

Everything worked out, my mother enjoyed them, we thought the bouquet was small, but maybe it's just because it wasn't bloomed yet.

***ALERT***

If you did order from proflowers, check your statements. When you processed your order, they offer a $15 rebate. It might have signed you up for another site called Easy Saver, and they charge an extra $1.95, and when I did some web research, it came up with people getting charged $14.95 a month without knowing it. If you've been charged $1.95 from Easy Saver, give them a call and tell them you want the charges removed and to cancel the enrollment.
