I think they are valid opinions of people who listen to the show regularly. This message board is officially dedicated to the Ron and Fez show, so it is not surprising people will post about the show every once in a while and some of those posts will be negative.

There has been a few frustrated fans who have discussed how they want the "Old Fez" back, and sure, I understand that. But those threads are usually accompanied with the opinion that even with Fez dealing with his problems, we still want him on the show and are more than willing to keep listening to a great radio show.

This new crop of Anti Fez threads have been mostly trolls plain and simple. People who are haters with no interest in discussing anything. People who don't want to contribute to this community, only to post in Anti Fez threads. People who over analyze what Fez does and then come in here with very detailed "solutions" for Fez's problems when we don't know a Goddamn thing about the man's REAL personal life other than the little he shares on air. People who think they know better than Ron, a man who has been Fez's friend for decades and has been there for him through the good and bad.

This new crops of Anti Fez threads are just garbage used to stir up shit, get the poster attention and try to take shots at Fezfez who they now know posts and reads here.

I don't think there has ever been one honest discussion stopped on this message board. It's the troll threads that are only meant to stir up the members into fighting and take unfair, continuous shots at Fez that are usually called out for what they are, made fun of, the original poster is attacked, they get all jerky and start quoting board policy, and it gets locked.

So maybe in the end, those threads get exactly what they deserve anyway.

speaking just for myself, someone relatively new to the show, i've posted out of real concern for fez, and from the opinion that his job and most of the on-air treatment isn't conducive to him healing. but lately i've been fatigued by all the worry and have just been enjoying the music conversations and the ron/dave dynamic. fez was really rough going into the holidays and the "melodrama" was compelling. now it is tired for me and honestly i question the ethics of being entertained by real mental illness. on top of that, the posts fez has made here (which i half think show a steeled over projection obscuring serious self loathing) make me feel that he doesn't want "concern" from anonymous message boarders. hey- no sweat.

I'm going to agree with this one. I think that's the way Ron is handling it too. It's probably got to be harder for him to see his friend/partner going down this road that really doesn't make a lot of sense to anyone but himself.

I think people are giving Ron too much shit for being tough on Fez and trying to get him outside of his own head.

I put 'troll' down because what good can these threads bring? Do you think Fez chooses to be like this? It's frustrating that Fez is in a bad spot but what can we say that hasn't already been said? I feel badly for the guy.

I also think that talking about his problems over and over on the air gets very dull. It's the same discussion they have had over the last couple of years.

I haven't listened for a couple of months and have just tuned in again over the last couple of days. I was surprised at how little had changed with Fez's mental issues. I really feel badly for the guy that he hasn't made an inch of progress. He hasn't even come out publicly. At least saying he is gay out loud would change the conversation. Or am I getting it wrong? Have they made a decision that maintaining the 'secret' is still working as a bit? Are we going to get "Santa Still Has a Secret" Xmas 2009?

i think a lot of it is people having some ideal for what the show should be or once was and thinking it will one day be exactly that, like it needs to be fixed. i don't get it. i can't fucking stand when people talk sports, but i will listen to ron and fez and dave talk about sports all day long. i guess its the difference between being a fan of the show and a fan of solely being entertained the way you want. like the way lsome iberals need to watch msnbc and conservatives, FOX. god forbid they hear something they can't like and agree with 100% of the time as if it's the thoughts in their own fucking head
