I probably meant confirmation... I don't know... it was some ceremony usually with a big party where the young people are joining the "youth"... it's a pretty big thing there and usually the first night the teens get ridiculously wasted after the parents leave the party...

We followed the "Statut", took part in organized group events... friendship events with our Russian soldiers and their families... singing at retirement homes... saluting the communists of past and present... all kinds of fun stuff.. I have to find more pix and put up... they are def awkward

yes it did have a satin back... it was some gold laced ("Brokat") type of fabric and yes, it probably compares to some heavy curtains... lol I loved that thing though...

and yeah from 14-17 I would always wear my hair a bit bigger with big curls/ waves... cause it is wavy anyway and it was the way people wore it... thankfully I never bought into the whole perm craze
