Softball saturday June 20th....can you make it?

I checked out the availability for softball in June. The only date they had open from June 1 on was either saturday the 20th or we would have to wait until the 2nd week of August.

I will be booking the field if I get enough feedback about how many can make it with no problems right now. If not it will most likely be gone by the middle of this week. So let me know asap.

Echo Lake Park:


Route 22 East in Mountainside –

park entrance is on your right hand side.


Springfield Avenue in Westfield –

park entrance is on your left hand side.


From the Garden State Parkway North
or South – Take the Kenilworth/Elizabeth

Exit 138. Make a left onto Kenilworth Boulevard and follow straight
for several miles. The Boulevard turns into Springfield Avenue in
Cranford. Follow for another mile and the park is on the left hand
side.


For those of you coming from the Central/South NJ coming up the Parkway NORTH.

Follow the Parkway North to Exit 138 (Kenilworth). At the end of the exit make a LEFT at the traffic light. That will put you onto The Blvd./Kenilworth Blvd. Stay on there for 9 lights. The Blvd. will turn into Springfield Ave.

At that 9th light make a LEFT into the entranceway to Echo Lake Park. You will see parking on your right about 1/10th to 2/10ths of a mile up the street. I will try to post signs again.

If you are coming from North NJ and taking the parkway South Follow the same directions as the Parkway NORTH people but just make the Left at the 8th traffic light...not the 9th one.

Oh and thanks to the one guy who really gives two shits about the softball game. In fact, he has covered the field each time in the past so let's throw a few bucks together and not let it happen again.

It's amazing JJ never used some slush fund money to help him out in the past since he not only books the fields, but pays for them, brings all the grill equipment and someone else brings the softball gear. Another year, another dropped ball....go figure.

from talking with justice it seems this is the last date he can get the field for 100... after he changes the address it will be twice as much. I have never been there but from people talking they really enjoy the location, so if it costs more for future events then I am sure people would be willing to step up.
I'd gladly donate some money even if I did not play.
