Is it just more, or is 202 playing more and more live reads and commercials on O&A and Ron and Fez? Avoiding commercials is the very reason I do not listen to boring ass regular radio.

It gets super crazy around the holidays, otherwise I don't mind the live reads. I find them funny.

They were funny at first when Ron interacted with Fez. But I think Ron was right when he told Fez that his OCD was kicking in. After the mess that happened during the studio last week, Fez just yelled out the Carbonite read after they were off the air for 15 minutes. Thank God Mothers Day is over.

It's the business philosophy of the company now, because they're at the point where they need to squeeze every last cent to try and stay alive.
It's likely only going to get worse.

It's ALOT worse at night. The O&A replay is an hour long at best @ 3am Then a ton of commercials. There are far more commercials on 202 the on Hoo Hoo's channels. But ENOUGH of the LIVE reads. I don't want flower, PJs, or to cheat on my wife. Plus I don't have credit cards and I owe the IRS nothing....

i like the live reads, especially carby. commercials suck though, it seems everytime i turn on 202, i have to listen to 5 minutes of commercials before the content comes on. and the commercials could be the most annoying things ever.
i like the live reads, especially carby.
Thank God little Carby didn't have eye cancer after all.
I was devastated.

Lil' Carby is my favorite ESD character since Davey Red. Speaking of, has he been on the show? Maybe DR could do a live read - "Ashley Madison, where douchbages find their lovers, LET IT BE KNOWN!"

fez takes sh!t from ron for the live reads, but apparently they have to do them. it sucks that there's a million of them recently, but there's really nothing fez can do about it.
he gets sh!t on if he reads them at the beginning of a break, and he gets sh!t on if he leaves them til the end. ron said he's not a salesman, but sadly, that's not true. when it comes down to it, every tv show and radio show is just a way to get people to watch or listen to commercials.

There have been more recently because of mother's day but that was the case when they were on Free FM too so it is a little early to say anything for sure. I would expect that the number of live reads will be back down to the normal level this week. Now, if SiriusXM could get more reads the rest of the time they would so it could be something permanent.

the commercials and live reads are atrocious, repetitive, tacky, and distracting... and obviously a desperate - but short sighted - choice. i hate them and the deception they represent.

I agree with this. I do appreciate Ron interjecting and trying to make them funny though. Any time someone bitches about commercials I have to point out how easy it would be to toe the company line, and he goes the other direction to try to make us listeners laugh.

I think he gets shit because he slams the breaks on the show, and goes into fake pitch man. I can't tell you how bad I was screaming at my radio back in April when he said the only thing he likes to do is live reads. And when Ron asked him why he's not that enthused in his own show he shut down. What would you think?

Live reads on Ron and Fez only become a problem when the same product gets plugged multiple times in one show. Nothing like hearing the same copy read over and over.
I may have been compelled to support Ron and Fez's sponsors like Pro-Flowers, Vermont Teddy Bear, or Pajamagram, but I don't live in the US and like every internet-based company that promotes delivery anywhere, they really mean the US and/or Canada.
I am a paying subscriber.... isn't that enough?
I think that near the holidays the live reads tend to get overwhelming , but all in all I have to say I like the way the breaks are configured lately. Shorter breaks, about every half hour. Good for we cubicle dwellers who might need to take a potty break.
The one or two breaks per show that used to last 10 minutes were killers, they repeated the same things over and over.

I would kill for a collection of r&f live reads. Especially where Ron pits products against each other. "My mom almost disowned me after last year. I sent her some ugly pajamas and a stupid teddy bear. This year I'm going pro flowers Fezzzzzzzz."

Or when he asks Fez what he's getting his mother. Fez picks one of the three and Ron says"Whoaaaaa!" "You heard it, Fez says fuck those other products!"
Kills me.

The live reads last week made me so angry. I realize that they have to do them (thanks Mel) but holy crap. Ron tries to make the best of them, but even that get's old. Can't wait until father's day...ugh.

Did anyone else clap for Little Carby's eye cancer?
"I'm going blind, Big Carby! Where are you?... I took vision for granted, apparently..."

I take the headset off when the live reads and commercials start. Luckily, I can look over at the streaming data and see when they are over and put the headset back on for the good stuff.

The live reads were fine when Ron interrupted but last week he didn't even bother most of the time there were so many.

Unfortunately, you are all correct.
At least, when I listen to the Audible podcast, I can fast forward through them! :)
