It is that time of year to be camping and fishing and in some areas hunting. How better to describe your experiences by way of picture.

Post your pictures here about said activities.

These are pictures of our new 2010 Sprinter. We have used it twice since and we are very pleased. We will post more of it in action.

my parents' second home from April through October.

they (we) have camped seasonally from the time i was 7 years old in the same campground. it was a really wonderful place to grow up.

we started in a 13 foot trailer, and this is what they currently have. it's not very much like camping other than it is in the middle of the woods.

i'll be there in like 8 weeks. Yay!

doesn't look like you caught that fancy boy... it looks more like you are pointing at it in disgust... cause it's old, smells weird and its eyes are standing way too close together to be an attractive fish... and it probably had it's fins surgically corrected to appear bigger too.

The deer would always pillage my grandpa's garden. He emptied the shot out of shotgun shells and replaced with peppercorns. Deer aren't stupid. They didn't come back.

Lead, they will eat lead if they come into my cross hairs baby.

Wow that RV thing is unnecessary....Anytime I ever went camping we made our own shelter out of of logs and vines and we go into woods and kill squirrels with pointed sticks for dinner. Then after that, we drink all of uncle Jebs moonshine, and do jigs around the fire, it's a hootenanny good time.

The wait is over. I was successful with my deer hunt this morning in that I got my deer. I had to drag it 1/2 mile or so through snow and up hill to my truck, but that was the biggest problem.

I was a bit excited on my first shot and when the rifle kicked the scope hit me in the nose. I went to the clinic and it was confirmed to be broken. I just got off the phone w/ the P.A. and the radiology report says multiple pieces. I will see an Ear,Nose and Throat guy on monday.

He is a less graphic pic then I sent to Rhino and boosterp.

.50 cal black powder, it has some kick to it. But, he could back off from the scope a bit and adjust the scope's relief to prevent this from happening again.

I know it hurts like a motherfucker, Dave's likely on his 10th beer, and I won't joke at his expense yet.

It was purely my own fault. I had the scope adjusted just fine when I was target shooting, just got excited.

It realy hasn't hurt that much. Plain tylenol has handled the pain just fine. The beer was just for my own enjoyment.

Joke away, I've been laughing about it since I did it. Maybe by tomorrow I'll have some nice black eyes to share w/ everyone.

My son just got A Henry .22 from my dad for Christmas, no bodies on it yet but I am sure it's history will be long when my son is the grandpa

http://www.henryrepeating.com/h001y_leveryouth.cfm

The model my son got has the octagonal barrel.

http://henryrepeatingarms.com/images/rifles/octagon_box.jpg
The action of the lever is incredibly smooth.
I bet it's accuracy will be nice too.
My son asked "where do you put the scope?"
I just kind of laughed, I think a scope on this rifle would just be wrong,
besides, I showed him Dave's pic and he got scared of scopes
We haven't fired it yet but will do so this afternoon, I will report back

What a sweet shooting rifle, I put 5 rounds in about a 3 inch circle at 30 yds. Although the accuracy was not as good I did put a few rounds through my .38 and my 9mm.
Fun Stuff

That should be a rifle he can pass down for sure. While not Henrys', I have a couple firearms that belong to my grandpa that mean the world to me.

Glad I could help, he should learn to shoot w/o a scope first. Then he can bust his face up. Probably not w/ a .22, but when he graduates to something bigger.

The 9mm Smith and Wesson I have was my uncles pistol, before he passed he was a sharp shooting instructor for the FBI. He spent many hours on the pistol with a file smoothing out all the sharp corners, and based on its action It has had thousands of rounds through it.
I treasure it as much as the shotgun I have from my great grandpa. It really is crazy when you think about how that shotgun fed earlier generations of my family.
