Now, Golden Slumber's or Long and Winding Road
I'm making a mix for my brother since I'm the biggest Beatles fan out of my brothers. I end it with Golden Slumbers.
It's pretty neat how every song kind of flows. No matter how you arrange them.

wow, there are too many great songs in the Beatles body of music.
When I was young, I loved "and your bird can sing" or "hey bulldog"
I have always favored lennon, so later Beatles would be "Across the Universe" At least the "let it be" was the least produced album.
If not for George Martin, well,, we all know.

If I fell in love with you,
Would you promise to be true?
And help me,
Understand.
Cause I've been in love before,
And I found that love was more,
Than just holding hands.
If I give my heart to you,
I must be sure,
From the very start,
That you,
Will love me more than her.
Sing it with me ronfez.net!!!!
God, it's hard to pick just one. Two of Us is definitely up there as is Because. But I'll got back to the beginning with Please Please Me. So simple and so perfect.
it would be cool if yesterday was "Yesterday"

Please read the long post that I am about to write because it is very true and probably the deepest you will ever see into my soul.
My father drank a lot when I was growing up, but I never knew it because he was the type that would you could never tell. He kept his emotions inside of him. Never showed signs of glee nor signs of discontent. I didn't really realize how much of drinker he was until I was about 14.
When I was 15 I got a job operating a pea combine. The hours were 4 am to 6pm, 7 days a week for about 2 months straight. I never got much sleep.
One night at about 1am I heard the stereo at max volume. It was interrupting my sleep so I went downstairs to complain. There I saw my very inebriated father BELTING out Golden Slumbers in unison with the record (vinyl of course). He sounded absolutely horrible, but the look on his face and the look in his eyes had finally shown me that he was truly happy. I don't care if his happiness was alcohol induced or not, he was HAPPY! It was something that I had never seen. I didn't have the heart to complain.
Therefore, my favorite Beatles song is Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/ The End.

We truly are twins. My father used to do the same thing, not showing emotion and drinking and singing, in our basement when I was a kid. He hated his job but kept it so he could fulfill his passion of painting. Many a night, I would hear the beatles, the who, the doors, etc. very loudly from the basement which would wake me up. The one time I went down to see if it could be turned down, I saw him smiling while singing, drinking and painting.
For me, the one song I really took from it was oddly enough Rocky Raccoon. He told me later that this was the first song that as a baby I would dance and move to. He told me that it made this his favorite song by them and in turn, now my favorite by them.

My entire family are big Beatles fans. My Brother was a giant Beatles fan. At his funeral my Aunt and Uncle had The Beatles in flowers made for him. The day of the actual funeral this song was stuck in my head. To this day 2 and half years later, I still tear up.
Instant Karma will always be a favorite as well as a sort of a painful reminder.

At a Halloween party i threw when i was 10 we forgot to get prizes for the games we had, so my mom went upstairs and when she came back down she had a set of Beatles pins from when she was in her teens. There were 4 pins, each one was one of their heads/faces and she gave them out without thinking twice (i think i ended up with Paul). I think about that now and get angry for letting her do that.
Though my mom loves The Beatles my Dad connects more with Harrison like i do, so whenever i hear this song i think of him (even though it is solo Harrison, once a Beatle always a Beatle)
