...who never ventures outside of the norm to find new art, culture, style, philosophy, etc? Are you only interested in being a part of the in crowd and fear going off on your own?

Maybe you only like bands that are extremely popular and wouldn't dream of listening to college radio or checking out some indie labels.

If so, you are robbing yourself.

i think anyone who is really into Ron & Fez, to the point where they post on their fansite, is going to be the type that ventures outside the norm to find new forms of art and entertainment. R&F is pretty far out of the mainstream

The secret to making AAA threads is phrasing the title so that anybody that disagrees with you is a fool/idiot/asshole etc...

I guess my tastes are pretty mainstream musically. Not Top40 stuff, but stuff that other people will at least vouch for and recommend to me. It's not that I'm not open minded, it's just that I'm not going to waste 3 hours per day scouring Limewire for shitty teenaged garage bands just to find that one diamond in the rough. I'll let some other chump find it for me.

I like what I like and don't really care what other people like. But on the other hand, I can't stand people who make a point of not liking what everyone else likes just so they can go around telling everyone how unique and cool they are.

This sounds like a classified ad looking for Fez's replacement.

I'd rather be lost. I'll go out of my way to keep from doing the norm. I can relate to Ron and his take on road trips. Get off the fucking interstate and hit some highways and just explore.

I like to be my own person. I am not afraid of being judged or teased. I have always been the "weird" one in my family, and I am proud of it. If I went with the masses, I'd be more lost because I wouldn't be as interested in the stuff they do or like.

I like a little bit of both. There's something to be said for a mass shared experience.

I buy all of my art at the Thomas Kinkade Gallery at the mall. (He's the painter of light, you know).

Shoot me.

I was going to give an answer that would greatly contribute to this thread. But my disdain for Rob Dedrick has blinded me from the original question. I apologize to the maker of this thread. Good day sir!

I liked this thread better when it was an indie thread.
