Oooh! Thanks for the reminder!
FREE HOWARD STERN THIS WEEK!
I was listening to it already.
I turned Howard on briefly this morning but hearing Robin's cackle had me turning the channel quickly.
Of course when I turned O&A on they were replaying that annoying Ron Howard laughing bit.
Of course when I turned O&A on they were replaying that annoying Ron Howard laughing bit.
It could be worse. They could be taking credit for something that Family Guy did that they never did.
Oh wait... good morning!

WTF does Anthony know about being a man? He's the most unathletic motherfucker this side of a Whackbag poster. He's the typical pussy - like Dick Cheney. He's always the first one to wrap himself around the flag yet he's is not, and never will be, man enough to serve his country.
You like guns. Go join the Army Reserve and go to Iraq like that 60 year old vet who just died. He "remembered what it felt like on that day." He served.
Go sit in your new home theater and continue to pass the time alone until you have another heart attack, Skeletor.

Goodbye, and good luck bro.
Can we all agree that XMSIRIUS is on NO ONES radar outside of subscribers? Middle American may know who Stern is but that's it. There is barely no promotion. Adds on the whole platform are vague. I tried listening to Stern yesterday, Robin is too much to handle. Enough of that voice.

No, we can't agree. Everyone I know who is under 40, and has purchased a car in the past five years, now has their OEM satellite radio activated. These people live in all parts of the country. It might be a small sample size but I would say, from my experience, that commercial radio is not on the radar of the current generation (Gen X/Y) due to their shitty playlists.

I really wish they would quit caring so much about getting the "big guests." They'll make a big deal out of getting someone like Mike Myers or Ben Stiller, and the interviews are never any fun anyway. Stick with friends of the show, I say.

I have to completely disagree, while they do swing and miss, I have heard some spectacular interviews...now having typed that, the only one that comes to mind is the famous coroner they had on a best of recently....but that doesn't mean there aren't others dammit!

If you are talking about Dave, what is the problem? Dave skeeved out Duff with his f-ed up, anti-social behavior and Duff was honest about it. Not everybody likes the "retard act" and thinks it's funny.
If Dave really wanted Duff to like him he would have acted like a human being.
Don't get me wrong, I like Dave a lot. However, he can't expect people to take him seriously when he acts like an idiot.

Stating that Gen X/Y people don't pay attention to commercial radio because of "shitty playlists" is an opinion. I know people who prefer commercial radio because of those same playlists.

You might not agree with what he is saying but I cheer him on because this is why we have free speech. I have a lot of questions about 9/11, that I know I won't get the answers so I like that public people are asking them.
I just hate Anthony and Jimmy talking with him because they have an agenda with this topic. They brought it up to spark a flame, and then know he doesn't tow the company line when it comes to 9/11 and the current state of the government.
Holy Shit they didn't even tell him it was time to go :(

I completely agree with the free speech and questioning - I just personally don't see how it is some grand conspiracy.

Wha happen?
Paraphrased short version: O&A asked if Duff remembered Dave (angling that he just had a child yesterday), and when prodded a little Duff admitted that he "just didn't get" Dave. His antics were not really appreciated, especially the banana up the butt thing.
Essentially Duff stated that Dave skeeved him out with all the stuff he did in studio last time.

Well if we really wanted justice in the whole scheme of things we would have wiped Saudi Arabia off the map because that is where the 19 guys came from. However we couldn't do that because Bush is bed buddies with the Saudis to the point of having a designated room of his own in most officials mansions over there.
We also couldn't attack the right people because of oil claims and other politics that got in the way of the US having any real justice for 9/11.
Bush wasn't his fathers favorite. So he used the horrible events of 9/11 to avenge the attempted murder of his father. He did that with the blood and bravery of our soldiers, while killing women and children and innocent Iraqis men. All because Bush had daddy issues.
So I think there is a great deal of real questions that need answered.

And I agree with that too - there was a lot of underhanded stuff that went on and the people responsible have never really paid.
However, I don't think the 9/11 attack itself was a conspiracy. There was obviously some crappy stuff that followed, but I think the attack was straight-up terrorism.

I agree with you but I do believe the gov't knew way before hand and didn't do enough to stop it or didn't want to stop it. I mean they had enough warnings, Clinton's administration gave them detailed reports on what was coming and they didn't heed them.
That is were the intrigue starts for me. I mean you would think as Commander and Chief that Bush's first actions would be to protect his people. Not use the events to lie about WMD's fake photos and then go back to the white house and read a report that he was given while running for office that was basically a game plan for the Iraq war.
The report was done by Cheney and Rove while Cheney was supposed to be finding a VP running mate. The report also included that the way to get the US people behind the notion of attacking Iraq, was for there to be a massive attack on US soil or something big that the country could rally around....
Then 9/11 happened and their game plan was put into action. So many questions..

Sorry - saw this late. I definitely think there was massive miss-management and that the ball was completely dropped, but I also don't think that means it was a conspiracy.
It is disgusting that warnings from the intelligence community about a possible attack were essentially ignored and the attacks on 9/11 could conceivably been avoided if the right people had been paying attention. But again, I don't think that is tantamount to a conspiracy.
That said, there should have been a lot more heads rolling and people in the government held accountable for that gargantuan f-up. And there certainly should be more inquiries and more info made available to the public - I do believe there is some serious ass-covering going on.
MisterSmith
05-19-2009, 11:52 AM
And as a follow-up, I also agree on your points about Bush and Cheney. They used the events of 9/11 to force their own agenda and might have been able to do more RE: safeguarding the country against terrorism.
Whether they intentionally let things slide to give them a free hand to act is hard to prove, but I can admit that it would not entirely surprise me. If they did, did they know it would be something as big as 9/11? I would like to think no. However, it is hard to go either way without additional proof. I am completely with you on needing and wanting more info.
