I disagree with Ron, ESD can dish it out and should be able to take it. Turn around is fairplay.

And another thing Ron said something that rings true. ESD may not be here long term with the show. He's got 2 kids and works 3 hours a day. Granted its his dream job and he's great on the air but it really is a dead end job. By that I mean there is very little chance to advance and he can't be pulling in much money. He probably needs to move on to the real world at this point. Hate to see it but its likely his best call.

Fielding all calls because they may be a potential emergency or important is nothing more than taking advantage of a convenience.

If it were that important, a message would be left. Or, think back to before you had a cellphone. Messages were left on an answering machine and before that possibly written down on paper. Was that terribly convenient? No.
