On a serious note....the 26th was the only available time for that same field we have been using for the last several years. I will check out if they have an alternate one that is very close by on the 19th. (we played on it about 3-4 years ago). If it's not available then I will simply not reschedual it for the 26th and just take the credit to next years game. (ie; we payed this year for NEXT years game) and just have to go without softball this summer....the first time in 7 years that happened.

Ugh! I just came back from Florida. If I booked my flight to arrive earlier than 6 p.m. I coulda made one of the games. I even bought a batting glove and fielder's glove for the original date the game was supposed to happen. Oh well, I guess I'll see you all at the game next year.

Well I had a great time suckiing horribly in the infield. I couldn't field a ball for shit. Made two good plays. That's it. If it weren't for me, Gvac might not be at risk for a heart attack as much. (Sorry G) But as stated, I had a blast. I want to thank all of you who made it out.

Tub? You don't have to thank me. I honestly did it all these years because I enjoyed having everyone (well MOST everyone) come out to the game and have a good time with everyone. That's what this place is SUPPOSED to be all about.

I know the turnout wasn't that strong mostly due to the fact that we were on a makeup of a makeup game. Next year we will plan it alot better. I hope to see more faces out there.

YES it will be in NJ but there is mass transit to the town so I don't wanna hear any whiny NYC people bitching about rides and transport. if the PA people can come out to nyc for events...you can make it here.

Jane had a blast too...thanks for making her enjoy her first Rnf.net event. Although the biggest kick she got was watching her boyfriend drop pop flies and making GVac run by overthrowing the ball to 1st...three times.

things I will remember:
Throwing the ball perfectly when it didn't count...sucking when it did
Meeting sat-cam, Dino, big joe and others.
Seeing gvac, rich, earlshog, spoon, Katja (the official photographer), Hottub and others as well.
Playing with Katja's son, who has this amazing sense of joy and his laughter makes you just smile.
leaving with way more beer then I came in with. shit i think i have three cases of beer now. All different brands.
having to take the longest 7th inning strech in the history of playing softball or baseball...all in the middle of the second inning.:drunk:
NOT having enough energy to even want to think about playing a second game.:tongue:
How amazing of a day it FINALLY was to play ball in.
Watching HotTubs son take over the grill and do a good job, but didn't know how to turn it off.
We all hit the ball well...ok...most of us did. (sat...we'll get you to the batting cages...promise)
Having the local girl soccer players walk right in the middle of our game V-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y and not give a shit. We should have played on and made them run!!! (next time):furious:

I can't book the fields anymore, but I will help out in any way I can from here on out.

Next year we will do this RIGHT instead of sitting around and waiting until last minute. This I promise.

Great time people, and Katja's kid is freaking hilarious. I'm surprised Hammer didn't make a move on him and Tub didn't steal him for his basement collection. Oh man, two more saucy mods to keep an eye on. How did that baby shower go that you had to leave for Hammer? Hope it was cool!

Oh and I have to say, September weather for softball, SWEET. I never thought we'd have such a sorry bunch that we'd need a break after 2.5 fucking innings!!
