I am talking about the Pittsburgh FAN sir.

My buddies down in Da Burgh are so arrogant now.

i haven't seen TOO much of that...well, maybe a little.

they still have the martyr complex going for them, though, despite the success.

now, it's still nowhere approaching the martyr complex of Baltimore, but it exists nonetheless.

I don't get how Pittsburgh is spoiled they work their asses off for every win they have ever gotten. Pittsburgh and I am talking all the teams there have never had an easy time of it. People constantly underestimate them and they have to prove time and time again how great they are, under tough scrutiny.!

Are you fucking kidding me?! Those Pens teams in the early 1990s were STACKED:

Roster
Centers
66 Mario Lemieux (Captain)
10 Ron Francis
15 Shawn McEachern
18 Ken Priestlay
19 Bryan Trottier(A. Capt.)
38 Jiri Hrdina
Wingers
7 Joe Mullen
12 Bob Errey(A. Capt.)
14 Jock Callander
16 Jay Caufield
20 Jamie Leach
24 Troy Loney
25 Kevin Stevens
29 Phil Bourque
34 Dave Michayluk
43 Jeff Daniels&
45 Mike Needham&
68 Jaromir Jagr
92 Rick Tocchet

2 Jim Paek
3 Grant Jennings
5 Ulf Samuelsson
6 Jeff Chychrun
22 Paul Stanton

HAAAA, then I take back my comment with lots of arrogance. I have to admit I have a bit of it myself. When they won the last Super Bowl I bragged about it for a month. It wasn't even that they won the game it was how they won that just made me feel like the team was bad ass and unstoppable.

"Jefferson didn't even believe in democracy"

Jesus, how stupid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Jefferson#Political_philosophy)...

Jefferson was a leader in developing republicanism in the United States. He insisted that the British aristocratic system was inherently corrupt and that Americans' devotion to civic virtue required independence. In the 1790s he repeatedly warned that Hamilton and Adams were trying to impose a British-like monarchical system that threatened republicanism. He supported the War of 1812, hoping it would drive away the British military and ideological threat from Canada. Jefferson's vision for American virtue was that of an agricultural nation of yeoman farmers minding their own affairs. It stood in contrast to the vision of Alexander Hamilton, who envisioned a nation of commerce and manufacturing, which Jefferson said offered too many temptations to corruption. Jefferson's deep belief in the uniqueness and the potential of America made him the father of American exceptionalism. In particular, he was confident that an under-populated America could avoid what he considered the horrors of class-divided, industrialized Europe.

Facts, really? (http://www.whitehouse.gov/about/presidents/thomasjefferson/)

This powerful advocate of liberty was born in 1743 in Albemarle County, Virginia, inheriting from his father, a planter and surveyor, some 5,000 acres of land, and from his mother, a Randolph, high social standing. He studied at the College of William and Mary, then read law. In 1772 he married Martha Wayles Skelton, a widow, and took her to live in his partly constructed mountaintop home, Monticello.

Freckled and sandy-haired, rather tall and awkward, Jefferson was eloquent as a correspondent, but he was no public speaker. In the Virginia House of Burgesses and the Continental Congress, he contributed his pen rather than his voice to the patriot cause. As the "silent member" of the Congress, Jefferson, at 33, drafted the Declaration of Independence. In years following he labored to make its words a reality in Virginia. Most notably, he wrote a bill establishing religious freedom, enacted in 1786.

Sharp political conflict developed, and two separate parties, the Federalists and the Democratic-Republicans, began to form. Jefferson gradually assumed leadership of the Republicans, who sympathized with the revolutionary cause in France. Attacking Federalist policies, he opposed a strong centralized Government and championed the rights of states.

As a reluctant candidate for President in 1796, Jefferson came within three votes of election. Through a flaw in the Constitution, he became Vice President, although an opponent of President Adams. In 1800 the defect caused a more serious problem. Republican electors, attempting to name both a President and a Vice President from their own party, cast a tie vote between Jefferson and Aaron Burr. The House of Representatives settled the tie. Hamilton, disliking both Jefferson and Burr, nevertheless urged Jefferson's election.

When Jefferson assumed the Presidency, the crisis in France had passed. He slashed Army and Navy expenditures, cut the budget, eliminated the tax on whiskey so unpopular in the West, yet reduced the national debt by a third. He also sent a naval squadron to fight the Barbary pirates, who were harassing American commerce in the Mediterranean. Further, although the Constitution made no provision for the acquisition of new land, Jefferson suppressed his qualms over constitutionality when he had the opportunity to acquire the Louisiana Territory from Napoleon in 1803.

During Jefferson's second term, he was increasingly preoccupied with keeping the Nation from involvement in the Napoleonic wars, though both England and France interfered with the neutral rights of American merchantmen. Jefferson's attempted solution, an embargo upon American shipping, worked badly and was unpopular.

Jefferson retired to Monticello to ponder such projects as his grand designs for the University of Virginia. A French nobleman observed that he had placed his house and his mind "on an elevated situation, from which he might contemplate the universe."

He died on July 4, 1826.

Full text of my note...
First off, <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comhttp://www.ronfez.net/forums/ /><st1:City w:st=<ST1:pFez you sound like a million bucks. Love the new stick to his guns Fez! After years of begging him to take a stand he does it, gets knocked around a little for it and still stands. Fez Marie Whatley… The best thing going TODAY – WHOOOOOOOOO!ffice:office" />

OK, now slight bone to pick with Ronny B. You mentioned earlier in the show today about how ESD’s family stuff and Fez talking about it on the show was supposed to be separate. I have to say that whether you like it or not, you have created a virtual radio and online family. So you are like that really cool uncle I never had, Fez is my favorite aunt, and ESD is even like my retarded cousin. I would much rather spend time with you guys even in a one-way conversation that any of my own real brothers and sister etc. So, like it or not ESD’s situation is in the realm of our family. But, its OK, because we are family after all.
