live show without ron?

so, not a profound question, but just curious- on the rare occasions that ron can't be in the studio (like tomorrow), would you like to hear a fez, esd, and tanely live show? o&a have done a number of shows over the last year without one of the headliners. would this work on r&f?

I think Fez would suprise you. Like someone else already mentioned, as long as he knew about it beforehand he'd be prepared and put on a great show! I'm sure he'd have at least 50 different folders full of interesting 'truth bombs' :smile:

As long as he has access to the studio for 4 hours the day before I'm sure he'd be fine.

I can see him sitting all alone planning out the timing of each bit only to have it all fall apart because he forgot to account for commercial time.

From what I can tell, and I haven't been listening long, but it seems Fez doesn't seem interested in going on-air without Ron. Not making fun ,but that is the drift i get. He rambles when Ron isn't in studio.

But I am all for seeing how the show would go without Ron. I think it would be fun.

In its current form Ron is 98 percent of the show with a little dave here and there and fez does the live reads. Do you want 4 hours of pajamagram live reads?

I voted I'd rather hear best of. I love Fez but I think Ron needs to be there, just as I was never overly fond of O&A shows where Opie or Anthony were gone. There is always big lulls in the action and the feeling is all wrong.

I would still listen but if it were my call, as the poll suggests, I'd say best of mode for that day instead of a Ron Free show.

I actually like it when Fez appears on their show... he has much bite and sarcasm in him and is pretty quick witted there... so it may not be the worst suggestion

That would be great and I agree with Katja that when Fez is on O&A's show alone he is very catty and fun.

But not to hate on O&A at all but they don't seem like they're too interested in putting in extra hours anymore. They give us a good show but they want the fuck out of there as quickly as possible once the mic are off.

We've actually had a taste of this already when Ron had to leave the show for extended periods while live. In those situations, the dynamic really didn't change to Fez taking the reigns, just trying to talk more. When there, Dave takes the lead there directing things, if not someone else. It seemed a lot like when Opie is out, and Danny or others start driving the show. Ant usually deferred to them, and I think Fez would do the same.

that would be funny. or dave could cry and complain the entire time when he does talk.

I wouldn't mind just having Fez, ESD, and Tanley in there. If you want some extra people in there how about a cavalcade of producers? I wouldn't mind seeing what Harry T is up to now.
