I liked Action with Jay Mohr.

Also, a fox show called Brimstone, which was about a cop who died and went to hell and was then revived by the devil to capture hell's escaped "criminals."

He would have to find ways every week to hit the criminals in the eyes and send them back to hell, and he would not always get the criminal he was chasing.

I'm also sad to see The Tick get cancelled again. It was on at a bad time and I guess not a lot of people could get into a live action superhero comedy. I also loved the cartoon version that was on Comedy Central. That got cancelled after two seasons.

I wasn't talking about The Larry Sanders Show. Garry Shandling had a short run series a few years before that on network tv. I think it was on Fox.

Brisco County Jr.! Great show that blended science fiction with good ol' fashioned westerns. Damn that show was fun. And it starred B-movie GOD, Bruce Campbell!

Also, "Cupid", with Jeremy Piven? Anyone remember that show? It was on about 3 years ago, and had Piven playing a guy who thought he was Cupid (and the gimmick was that he just may be), sent down to earth by the Greek gods as punishment. The only way he could get back into Olympus was to hook up something like 100 couples. Paula Marshall played his shrink / friend, who was trying to discover who he really was and why he believed he was Cupid.

It was a very well written show, and well acted, with great drama, comedy, and romance. It was critically acclaimed as one of the best shows of the 98-99 season, which of course meant that ABC cancelled the show a few weeks after it aired (they gave it a kiss-of-death time slot of Saturdays at 10). It's definitely a show I wish had lasted much longer than it did.

Dateline- quirky Oliver Platt as writer series from L&O creator, better than either spinoffs
Lateline- funny and great behind the scenes at News show made by Al Franken, had potential to be the next Newsradio.
Clerks- see the DVD, this show had potential

I saw Dead at 21! It was a hot show about this guy who only had a limited time to live because he was a clone or something.

And The Crow: Stairway To Heaven was very good, on the same level as Highlander the series.

Mark Dacoscas is great to watch on the screen, especially in fight scenes. What a great martial artist!

Mark Dacascos has a supposedly kick-ass role in the new horror flick, "Brotherhood of the Wolf".

And Crow was a pretty good show. Not as good as the movie (but what TV show based upon a movie is?), BUT the show had actually been renewed for a second season in syndication. Then, during the hiatus, the company that produced the series was bought by another company, and the show got axed in a cost-cutting manuever.

Which is a shame, because it's the only Crow production (outside of the original film) that was any good.

I loved Zoe, Duncan Jack and Jane!

It was yet another WB comedy put on a Sunday and never got a chance to develop an audience.

The lead actress who played Zoe now stars in independant and small hollywood films.

The actor who played Jack (the twin of Jane who looked nothing like jane at all) fared better:

Michael Rosenbaum is now Lex Luthor on Smallville and he plays the role really well. Also, he's doing the voice of the flash in the great CN cartoon Justice Leauge.

Selma Blair (who I think is underrated in hotness) was the star of Zoe, Duncan Jack and Jane. Her biggest role was the chick Sarah Michelle Gellar kissed in Cruel Intentions and was just in Legally Blonde as Witherspoon's friend. She has ok comedic timing from what I've seen her in but she's in Todd Solenz' next movie which unfortunately had an entire third cut out of it (The third with the James Vanderbeek and STILL had to be edited to get an R rating) but she seems to be the star

one was Good and Evil, with terri garr, it was sick and really dark, but it only ran a few episodes and was gone...

Another, I can't remember the name, but John Forsythe played the president and Frasier's brother played this suicidal character who tried to kill himself every episode, but bumbled it...
I think that one lasted a season, and both shows were too dark for their time, methinks...

Anyway, the show wasn't that great, but it was FOX, so the quality wasn't going to be the greatest anyway. They should have at least given it a season, but I only think it lasted a half dozen episodes.

The full title was Kindred: The Embraced.

If my cobwebed memory serves me, Kindred was about the conflicts going on in the underground vampire world.

On the IMDB, a review of the TV movie gives a description of each of the clans, which is very cool.

I lked the nightmare on elmstreet tv series and friday the 13th. I don't know why they cancelled Norm on ABC. Norm MacDonald is my hero.Disney makes me pissed.

I also liked get a life. Remember when they tore off chris elliot's head and started playing soccer with it?

i got kicked out of my band, so now i'm stuck with the name

I too was a big fan of Norm but kept forgetting when it was on during its final season. the cast was all talented but primetime is really not a place for norm humor.

have to disagree with you clare. The first season of FRESHMAN was great with Merv and how it was like a sketch comedy show. The second season it became a disappointing "typical" show

sexy bastard, the show was called brimstone. I don't know why they cancelled it, but that's what usually happens to good shows.
