Should they change their name?

I heard something about this on Howard Stern the other day, and figured I'd post about it. SHouldn't the Washington Redskins change their name to something less offensive? I mean, the Bullets changed to the Wizards b/c of inner city violence, so how can Washington get away with having a team called the Redskins?

This has been controversial for some time already. (I think that Stern show was a repeat).

If indeed the American Indians are offended by the name the name should be changed. I don't know for a fact that they take offense to it. Where cuacasions offended by the White Sox, or blacks by the Black Sox?

I find it astonishing that the Bullets changed their name. You can't get much more ridiculous than that.

Speaking as a D.C. native, NO. They shouldn't change it all. It's ridiculous. The most embarassing thing to happen to this city (outside of the whole Marion Barry crack bust) was that we changed the name of the Bullets into the infinitely dumber "Wizards".

Hell, I have Native American ancestors, and I'm not pissed about it in the least.
