Ronnie talked to Todd Phillips, and was selling Dave as "The next big thing".
I can see it. Especially a Todd Phillips type movie.
But I think I could also see Dave doing something serious. An Irish gangster in a Scorcese movie, or the strange waiter in a Tarantino movie.

Whatever the movie, his character name would have to be "Red" and he would have to be the 1st one dead in this movie. Like 2 minutes in.
Buddy cop movie. Dave could be the one who's wild and doesn't play by the rules

He'd be wicked in something like "Zack and Miri Make a Porno". I could totally see him in a movie like that. Some random comedy with random people.

I could see him being a narc in a high school, with a big mustache. A good high school comedy, getting ready for summer vacation movie.

he'd be great in some sort of children's comedy movie as a wacky friend of the father.

I'd say he'd be good in a Christopher Guest movie if he wouldn't laugh at everything he improvises.

If Ron really talked to the guy about getting Dave into a movie, that is about the coolest thing I've ever heard of a boss doing for his employee.

I wouldn't doubt it. I'm sure Ron wants to see Dave do well. Ron is a huge fan of ESD. I was listening to the early XM days recently (the Harry producer era), and he said that the reason he enjoyed Harry's one man show was because ESD was sitting behind him and was hilarious. He used to even bring up Dave back on WJFK. He think the guy is genuinely funny.
I think Dave would be a great quirky friend character to a Luke Wilson type. He ruins his wedding or something. I don't know, I'll let someone else work out the details. I'm an idea man, I try not to get bogged down with details.

The Fool/Jester in an NC-17 version of King Lear.
NC-17 because I assume things will be going up ESD's ass as he drops his own truth bombs.
If Fez would play King Lear it would be perfect.
Come to think of it, they may be playing out a modern version of the story on the show. It would explain the recent drama 'round hear lately.

Did thepaulo ever put a link up to the extended cut of East Side Dave in Gap? I loved the 1.7 seconds I saw in the version he originally had for sale.

Two words: "Life Goes On" the movie. If their was ever a guy who was born to play Charles "Corky" Thacher on the big screen, it's East Side Dave. Watch and learn Chris Burke!
