I wanted to explain some things.

First let me say, the weirdness of the call on the show combined with what I've read on the board is why I went off. And I definitely went too far talking about Chuckwagon's chick. I one-hundred percent apologize to her. Because I don't feel that way, I was pissed and blew up in a wrong direction and I'm sorry that happened.

Now I'll explain where the weirdness comes in. Chuckwagon's crazy stalker thing he does may have been a gimmick as he puts it, but it felt very real to me. It's uncomfortable. And I don't know the guy well enough to know if it is a bit or not. He's been doing it for months and months now. I thought it was him on the phone. The stalker thing is really odd and I don't get it. What is even the purpose of doing a bit or a gimmick on the board? I was real enough when I met the guy. I wasn't doing any sort of bit with him. So why do it? Why does anyone here have to do it?

I used to feel very close to the people who came and posted on this board. Now the norm seems to be to use a fake character or bit to either attack or weird people out. I don't understand it.

I lashed out on the air and in my posts because now the environment of this board causes paranoia instead of friendships like it used to. This place used to be a gathering of friends and like-minded people that were into the show. And then it was so cool to finally meet some of the people when we would go to Bar 9 and other places. That's how I met great people like Green Lantern, Angel Amy and Friday just to name a small few. And nobody was running a gimmick on anybody. No one felt that had to have scheme or angle. We were all cool just hanging out together. And it was great.

That just doesn't happen anymore. I mean, Bobby Pantera posts on the board yesterday and immediately gets slammed, like people want to chase him away. None of that makes sense to me. Because it's not how this board started or why it was started.

Thanks for posting that Fez. I think there's a bit of a catch 22 with this board. We love the interaction with the show, but that also causes some posters to have "shock-posts" in hopes of them being mentioned on the air. It's annoying, but I think it's unavoidable.

As for complaints about this board, I have been on many messageboards and I can tell you that this is the best run board I've ever been a part of.

Why doesn't the show just give their regular callers a code to use when they call to avoid this type of thing? A simple 4 digit number would do the trick. If somebody calls and says they're Chuckwagon or Gvac or lleeder and doesn't have the code, they don't get on. It's not like call identity theft is a major issue, and it does seem stupid to even post this idea, but it wouldn't take a whole lot of effort to avoid the problem altogether.

Fez is right about the board, though I think we all know that by now. I came here permanently after the death of FBA and I was surprised by the tone of rf.net. Believe it or not, FBA was a friendly place where a bunch of like minded people came to hang out and shoot the breeze. We had trolls and some in-fighting but things are really off the rails here. Innocent posts are met with negative responses, some posters seem to exist merely to stir shit and push buttons - good natured fun we don't appear to having too much of anymore.

Love this board and most of the people who post here. Love fez. And to me its incredibly cool that someone who hosts a show we all love would take the time to talk to us this honestly, and let his guard down a bit with us.

All the more reason to honor it.

By the way....being positive doesn't have to be 'blowing smoke up anyones ass'. There is a world of difference between discussion and attacks, and sometimes the best rule of thumb is to think...would i say this if i were having a conversation with fez or any other person on the show, or for that matter, on the board.

I still havn't heard the "rant" or even want to. I think it would hurt to much. I know deep inside that I've done nothing wrong by posting that picture and having fun with it like I have. It kinda ended up being the Donk or Satallite of Love for me. A Constance so to speak. As far as being a creepy stalker...that's something the board labled me as, I just ran with it. Theater of the mind. This board is an extention of your show, you have characters on your show, we have charaters here. Yes it's true...we do.

I met you that day and I was real to you as well. Just an avarage guy that wanted to meet you. Albite I do love your work and the show. I didn't freak out or do anything stupid. When I got home I posted our picture to show everyone that we met. It was exciting for me. I kept showing the picture as a joke so to speak and people got it. I wanted to push the joke to a point to where it wasn't funny and then past that to a point were it was even more funny then the previous postings. I'm sure you know how that type of humor works.

I didn't think for an instance that you would find it odd. Your a comedian. SO what, the joke was involving you, but the grunt of the humor layed upon myself. After all, it's called ronFEZ.net. I didn't freak out when everyone called me a crazy stalking dude and shit because I knew I wasn't and I knew they were ribbing me. plus like I said earlier, you had met me.

Posting as an outsider who has been listening and reading for years. "Getting" the show doesn't mean you should be a part of it, unless you're invited in. Doing a bit, creating a character - that's seems to me to be a little over the top.

It's like wrestling in a way. If you "get it" and know what you're supposed to do, then the show becomes more fun. You boo the bad guys and cheer for the cheesy good guys. You're not supposed to be a character and suddenly be part of the show. Yet somehow that's what it seems that some people want to do with R&F.

I totally understand how anyone in the public eye could become nervous about extra attention from an individual who won't seem to leave them alone and keeps pushing more and more. Fez isn't being paranoid, he comes across as honest.

Let Fez control his character and the direction he wants to take it. Don't keep pushing old bits that he obviously wants to let go, or do the same stupid jokes over and over. Sometimes I miss the days when the phones would go out. I'm tired of the same old taunting, dumb jokes and derailing of the show by dumb callers.

Anyway, I'm sure a lot of you don't think I have the right to post here, but I honestly love Ron and Fez and want them to continue to entertain me and not waste time on dumb callers who have a high opinion of themselves and therefore do more to hurt the show than help it. I'm sorry that there are so many threads on this board that are echoing that trend as well.

I agree that the negativity and weirdness has gotten worse, but it's simply not true that the gathering of like minded people who are into the show is still here. Most of the people you refer to have been here 4 years longer than I, but I've still had a wonderful experience on ronfez.net for the last 4 years. I think the recent problems are a phase that will pass. At least I hope it does. Either way, I very much enjoy posting here despite the few assholes, and I've become very close with some people here.

He continued the "bit" off air, and by calling the show and acting like he had some sort of "right".. Started his own webpage with a live webcam because he felt so obligated to continue a bit that wasn't asked for by the show, was over the top, and scared a lot of people. It got to the point Ron had to sit his dumb ass down and tell him to, in so many words "fucking stop".

Then look what happened. Fred turned into Anthony Cumia's defender and regularly hangs out at Anthonys house, seemingly forgetting R&F and moved on to the next thing that gives him attention.

It's not the shows fault, but there should really be a screening process for some of these people they invite into their show world.

I still havn't heard the "rant" or even want to. I think it would hurt to much. I know deep inside that I've done nothing wrong by posting that picture and having fun with it like I have. It kinda ended up being the Donk or Satallite of Love for me. A Constance so to speak. As far as being a creepy stalker...that's something the board labled me as, I just ran with it. Theater of the mind. This board is an extention of your show, you have characters on your show, we have charaters here. Yes it's true...we do.

I met you that day and I was real to you as well. Just an avarage guy that wanted to meet you. Albite I do love your work and the show. I didn't freak out or do anything stupid. When I got home I posted our picture to show everyone that we met. It was exciting for me. I kept showing the picture as a joke so to speak and people got it. I wanted to push the joke to a point to where it wasn't funny and then past that to a point were it was even more funny then the previous postings. I'm sure you know how that type of humor works.

I didn't think for an instance that you would find it odd. Your a comedian. SO what, the joke was involving you, but the grunt of the humor layed upon myself. After all, it's called ronFEZ.net. I didn't freak out when everyone called me a crazy stalking dude and shit because I knew I wasn't and I knew they were ribbing me. plus like I said earlier, you had met me.

It's a message board to a comedic radio show, lot's of kidding and long playing jokes roll here. The pillow case and plates and stuff was only a logical progression to my bit. Ask the more acive posters on this board and they'll tell you they knew just from my posts that I wasn't a stalker of any sorts.

I really believe now that what ever you said about me you meant. Like I said, I don't want to listen to it and I'm glad I missed it. Because I still do admire you in a professional manner thru the radio show. As an acquantance and possible friend I don't know if someone who can blow up at someone like that is what I want in a friend.

I'm sure you could care less about me anyways, I'm just another listner who likes the show. No one special, no one important and no one who you'll loose sleep over. But for me this means a lot. When I tell you that it made me cry. it's true.

I'll tell you what....I won't post that picture anymore. All that stuff I've had made to emphassize my joke I'll auction off here on RonFez.net and we'll send the proceeds to a charity of your choice. It was actually a fantastically written post.

FFB is a PERFECT example of what that dude nailed. Fred was invited into the show, given some time to work a bit. What happened? He continued the "bit" off air, and by calling the show and acting like he had some sort of "right".. Started his own webpage with a live webcam because he felt so obligated to continue a bit that wasn't asked for by the show, was over the top, and scared a lot of people. It got to the point Ron had to sit his dumb ass down and tell him to, in so many words "fucking stop".

Then look what happened. Fred turned into Anthony Cumia's defender and regularly hangs out at Anthonys house, seemingly forgetting R&F and moved on to the next thing that gives him attention.

It's not the shows fault, but there should really be a screening process for some of these people they invite into their show world.

I wanted to explain some things.

First let me say, the weirdness of the call on the show combined with what I've read on the board is why I went off. And I definitely went too far talking about Chuckwagon's chick. I one-hundred percent apologize to her. Because I don't feel that way, I was pissed and blew up in a wrong direction and I'm sorry that happened.

Now I'll explain where the weirdness comes in. Chuckwagon's crazy stalker thing he does may have been a gimmick as he puts it, but it felt very real to me. It's uncomfortable. And I don't know the guy well enough to know if it is a bit or not. He's been doing it for months and months now. I thought it was him on the phone. The stalker thing is really odd and I don't get it. What is even the purpose of doing a bit or a gimmick on the board? I was real enough when I met the guy. I wasn't doing any sort of bit with him. So why do it? Why does anyone here have to do it?

I used to feel very close to the people who came and posted on this board. Now the norm seems to be to use a fake character or bit to either attack or weird people out. I don't understand it.

I lashed out on the air and in my posts because now the environment of this board causes paranoia instead of friendships like it used to. This place used to be a gathering of friends and like-minded people that were into the show. And then it was so cool to finally meet some of the people when we would go to Bar 9 and other places. That's how I met great people like Green Lantern, Angel Amy and Friday just to name a small few. And nobody was running a gimmick on anybody. No one felt that had to have scheme or angle. We were all cool just hanging out together. And it was great.

That just doesn't happen anymore. I mean, Bobby Pantera posts on the board yesterday and immediately gets slammed, like people want to chase him away. None of that makes sense to me. Because it's not how this board started or why it was started.

I went off on Friday's show on someone using Chuckwagon's name because the strangeness of all this finally got me. It was too weird and too much. And the same thing is happening all over the board. Maybe the reason some people on a message board think they need to run a gimmick or play a character is because they think it will get them some sort of access to the show. They've seen people from this message board gain access to the studio, gain access to the hosts, even become employees of the show!

Ron and Fez have done a great thing by being close to the fans and making some fans a part of the show. This website is a reason for a lot of that. Posting as an outsider who has been listening and reading for years. "Getting" the show doesn't mean you should be a part of it, unless you're invited in. Doing a bit, creating a character - that's seems to me to be a little over the top.

It's like wrestling in a way. If you "get it" and know what you're supposed to do, then the show becomes more fun. You boo the bad guys and cheer for the cheesy good guys. You're not supposed to be a character and suddenly be part of the show. Yet somehow that's what it seems that some people want to do with R&F.

I totally understand how anyone in the public eye could become nervous about extra attention from an individual who won't seem to leave them alone and keeps pushing more and more. Fez isn't being paranoid, he comes across as honest.

FBA would do things sometimes where Doug would have a hard-on for a member of some messageboard somewhere and then a thread would be devoted to tearing that person apart. it happened a few times and usually they weren't a member of fba.

however, when it came to day to day posting and day to day posters, this site is way more negative. FBA didn't have as many posts there where its like "i was watching this movie yesterday i kinda liked it" and the reply being "you fucking idiot, you gotta be a fucking retard to like that movie. it just shows what an asshole you are". And even near the end most of the mods worked hard to defend the O&A show and keep the O&A forum fun and positive. We weren't always successful but i would ban and re-ban many people to keep it strong and it never was any worse than the main R&F section is now.

FBA would do things sometimes where Doug would have a hard-on for a member of some messageboard somewhere and then a thread would be devoted to tearing that person apart. it happened a few times and usually they weren't a member of fba.

however, when it came to day to day posting and day to day posters, this site is way more negative. FBA didn't have as many posts there where its like "i was watching this movie yesterday i kinda liked it" and the reply being "you fucking idiot, you gotta be a fucking retard to like that movie. it just shows what an asshole you are". And even near the end most of the mods worked hard to defend the O&A show and keep the O&A forum fun and positive. We weren't always successful but i would ban and re-ban many people to keep it strong and it never was any worse than the main R&F section is now.

I don't know, but I don't think grown adults are particularly affected by "asshole" or "idiot" staring at them from a computer screen. First let me say, the weirdness of the call on the show combined with what I've read on the board is why I went off. And I definitely went too far talking about Chuckwagon's chick. I one-hundred percent apologize to her. Because I don't feel that way, I was pissed and blew up in a wrong direction and I'm sorry that happened.

Posting as an outsider who has been listening and reading for years. "Getting" the show doesn't mean you should be a part of it, unless you're invited in. Doing a bit, creating a character - that's seems to me to be a little over the top.

It's like wrestling in a way. If you "get it" and know what you're supposed to do, then the show becomes more fun. You boo the bad guys and cheer for the cheesy good guys. You're not supposed to be a character and suddenly be part of the show. Yet somehow that's what it seems that some people want to do with R&F.

I totally understand how anyone in the public eye could become nervous about extra attention from an individual who won't seem to leave them alone and keeps pushing more and more. Fez isn't being paranoid, he comes across as honest.

Let Fez control his character and the direction he wants to take it. Don't keep pushing old bits that he obviously wants to let go, or do the same stupid jokes over and over. Sometimes I miss the days when the phones would go out. I'm tired of the same old taunting, dumb jokes and derailing of the show by dumb callers.

Anyway, I'm sure a lot of you don't think I have the right to post here, but I honestly love Ron and Fez and want them to continue to entertain me and not waste time on dumb callers who have a high opinion of themselves and therefore do more to hurt the show than help it. I'm sorry that there are so many threads on this board that are echoing that trend as well.

Thank you! I have been listening since Ron-and-Fez-dot-com days and i feel the same way. I guess since i don't have a million posts on this website my opinion won't really count, which seems unfair. My feeling is that people are not content just listening or being a caller, they want to become major characters in a story arch. It used to be that if you were a funny caller, Ron or Fez would make you special, in a more natural way. Now people push their way in.

My advice is stop trying so hard, sit back, and enjoy the show.

Nobody is here to get rid of all insulting posts. That's impossible. You got an infraction because you kept doing it in rapid succession in two threads. You showed this wasn't an isolated occurance and you only had an axe to grind by attacking another poster.

And almost all oversized sig pics are taken care of. Many still show up because they belong to posters who simply stop posting without changing them so they keep showing up in bumped threads. Others simply haven't been seen yet by a staff member.
