I was awake and excited for a nice Sunday.
I posted here for a bit, then I heard knocking on my door.
It was a police officer.
My car had been broken into (along with 3 other cars behind my building) and a fourth was stolen.
My car suffered the wrath of being struck when the fourth (stolen) car hit it in an attempt to get away.
Now, angry, I have to deal with this bullshit.
That's it. I just needed to vent.
That really fucking blows.
Sorry about that brother.
Was it a newer car, and how bad is the damage?

I have an 07 Mazda 6. Just about 2 years old.
Broken back window, driver's side rear quarter panel smashed in, including my rear bumper being cracked and broken, taillight broken.
Luckily, nothing was taken from inside the car.

The building next door has a security camera on the shared parking lot.
My landlord has been a lame duck since I have lived here in his response to the many complaints of people caught in the back parking lot late in the evenings looking into cars, smoking pot, smoking crack and also making an attempt to gaining access to peoples' back porches.
I've had enough and will be calling him today asking for him to step up and increase security or I along with the other tenants who have had similar complaints will leave the building.

If that had happened over here, the thief would have his hand chopped off. Stories like this make Shariah law sound practical at times.

I had my window broken by someone about a year ago looking for stuff to steal. They broke a bunch of other peoples windows in the neighborhood as well. My damage wasn't nearly as bad as yours but I can somewhat understand the way you are feeling. It just makes you feel angry and annoyed that someone would do something like that to you.

And to cap it all off, while I was outside making a makeshift window out of cardboard, saran wrap, and tape, I caught another motherfucker from the halfway house next door SMOKING CRACK ON MY BACK STEPS.
I'm going to fucking lose it!
I blame the Sabres.
There's been nothing to do up there for months.
The Bills don't even start playing for another 3 months.
Idle hands are the Devil's workshop, or something like that.

Man, I'd hate that. About 10 years ago I was awoken to the screech of tires and a collision outside my apartment and I looked out the window and saw a car on my lawn and another car twisted around a tree out front. My sister lived in the same building and I went down and saw it was her car that got smashed from the other car and pushed up on the lawn. The car that hit hers was twisted around the tree and empty. Apparently the person fled the scene and there was beer bottles inside and the car reeked of beer. It turned out to be a stolen car. I had to knock on my sisters door to wake her up and tell her her car was wrecked. It sucked. I hope they find these assholes TC.

And oddly enough, the people of this city decide to attack their own when there are plenty of Canadians to go after.

Wait, not so fast, bro. Aren't you forgetting the 2 carat engagement ring you bought for your chick, the Rolex watch you picked up for your Pop and the Monet that you won during the bidding war at Christie's that were all in the back seat?

That sucks indeed. Sorry.
I went through the same thing in the 90's with a Honda Prelude. It was stolen twice and broken into once. It ended up in Newark both times. They took everything except the radio....windows, lights, RIMS, carpets etc... I finally had enough and sold it. It will be my last Honda.

Man that sucks. I actually watched someone steal my car once. I looked out my bedroom window and saw the guy approaching the car. I yelled at him but the door was on the other side of the house so by the time I got outside it was gong. He made is like 2 miles before the cops caught up with him. He then ran out of the car and the police gave up chasing him because he was too fast. Luckily no major damage was done, but it sucked to watch my car get stolen and be powerless to stop it.

Wait a second.
You wake up Sunday morning to pounding on your front door, open it and the cops are standing on your porch?
Then they tell you your car has been broken into?
In my world, that is a win.
Sucks about the car, but I've had that situation go way different.
