I kind of agree. I think they don't realize fully is that when their audience expanded through satellite, it expanded on here too.

So now there are much more people from different parts of the country who don't get the history of the show who come here and don't know any better.

And then the site is judged as a whole from a group of people who make their presence felt in this way.

So, I was making some lunch for my daughter, and she wanted these organic turkey bites (which are kind of like chicken nuggets, only turkey). I put the whole box in the over and cooked them, threw a few on a plate for me and some for her. I took a bite of one. It tasted fine, but I didn't like the texture of the meat. I just figured it wasn't a great cut of meat they were using. I was also distracted because I was multi-tasking. I finished that one and took a bite of another. It also tasted fine, but had a weird texture. I looked at the inside of the bite -- pink. I grabbed the box. It said to cook at 400 degree 9-11 on each side. I missed the on each side part. Luckily my daughter had been ignoring my pleas for her to eat and hadn't started hers. I really hope I don't start puking my guts out. If I'm dead tomorrow, you'll know why.

as for the negativity, I went through a similar thing as mod of Opieanthony.net when Opie called out that board and told us to "eat our own". That didn't seem to work out well.

where I differ from Hottub and some others is I think that the sharks should be allowed to chew up the idiot posters - that these things have a way of self correcting.

Every "negative" thread around here, if not every negative post, is countered by someone disagreeing- essentially, a positive post. Why the negatives are remembered more than the positives is an issue of psychology, I'd guess.

This board is incredibly positive towards the show, overall. There's a heck of a lot more board negativity about the board itself. To expect absolutely zero negatives is unrealistic and silly, in my opinion.
