What are some of the foods you hated as a child but grown to love as you grew up.

As a kid I HATE tomatoes, onions and peppers on anything. I would pick clean spaghetti, hamburgers, sausage and peppers etc. Now, I love them all and look for ways to incorporate them into my meals.

Don't know if this counts as food, but hot sauce.

I used to hate it, and now I put it on everything.

Hated tomatoes, mushrooms, beans, and meatloaf.

They only things I cannot bring myself to eat to this day are refried beans and chili.

And any normal food it's designed for :)

I disdained broccoli, most sea food, and cream cheese.

I like 'em all now!

I'm easing into hot sauce. I have the most sensitive mouth ever, so I'm just getting used to regular buffalo strips or wings.

Also starting to eat more seafoods. Only liked 1 or 2 my whole childhood.

I was disgusted by any mustard or pickles until my midtwenties. Now I'm obsessed with brown and honey mustard as well as relish.

Lima beans and liver. And not so much as a child thing, but as a teen I was repulsed by coffee. Whenever a dog got into our garbage, I'd have to clean it up. The used coffee grinds disgusted me. It wasn't until I was 21, and I worked for a couple who were coffee fiends, and I was tasked to make the coffee for them, that I started drinking it.

Legumes. When I was a kid I was quite picky. I only ate pork and beans from a can (which I think are nasty now, it's either homemade or nothing) and lima beans. Now I love every type of bean.

Avocado.

I may have been well into my thirties before I began to appreciate a good guacamole.

Lately I’ve been amoured by how well it pairs with fresh corn.

Fresh corn kernels off the cob, less ripe avocado roughly chopped, tomato, jalapeno, red onion, garlic, lime, S&P. Good side dish with anything. Add cheese, wrap in a tortilla
And it’s a meal.

mushrooms, peppers, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, most Chinese dishes.

I love it all now...well the last bamboo shoots I had were woody so now I have a distaste for them again. And I will only eat portabella mushrooms. Peppers are a must for most meals now.

I lol'd my ass out of the chair.

For me: I ate and still eat mostly everything that was meant to be a food. But I hated V8 as a young teen because I drank too much the night before and a friend mixed beer with V8 and called it a Getright (got to say it like a Texan). I nearly puked. Now, the perfect way to kick off a day of drinking after a rough night.

Head, mom used to give it, I used to hate it. Can't pay teenage boys enough for it now!
