Why don't they read off what people won anymore?
Fez used to read a little script about the prize.
I miss that. I liked hearing what they were giving away.

There was once a thread where we, the listeners, could post what we got from the closet.

If sailor were around, we would know where that thread is.

In the past, a lot of the stuff were promo CD's and DVD's from Rhino Records and Shout! Factory...which I'm sure were given in exchange for on-air mentions. I have a feeling that connection died when they moved to the Sirius studios.

i heard that as well and wondered if anyone would post here with more explanation. it's not hard to imagine siri saying the bac was verboten unless or until their promotions department could link the contents to sponsors or talent around the dial. 'in the bac we have 3 copies of the dvd martha stewart on weddings - martha stewart, hear her now on martha stewart living: xm 157, sirius 112.'

and some months ago, i thought ron joked / lamented that there wasn't much in the bac now that earl is gone.

speaking of earl, did anyone else chuckle when earl was on last week and said the book may be taking the direction he originally envisioned: mostly pictures? ha ha.
