My company is sending me to Minneapolis on Thursday and Friday this week so naturally I am sneaking in a baseball game. This will be my first time visiting the Metrodome and I wondered if anyone has recommendations on where to/not sit, where to eat, where to park, etc.

It is an afternoon game. Fausto Carmona vs. Scott Baker.

Get a dome dog. Sit on the Third base line. Good luck with the parking, its a real bitch.

Got a ticket 7 rows right behind home plate for $53 from the box office! The only thing $53 will buy you at Busch is a nose bleed.

Transportation wise, where are you staying? You should be able to take the light rail up and save you the hassle of driving and parking.

See metrotransit.com for more information on the 55 LRT line for information that.

For seats, the only place to sit is behind the plate. If you sit down the line as Rhino mentioned, you end up with a neckache because everything is geared towards center field 50 yard line, and you have to sit with your head tilted.

Getting a rental car so I'll have to find parking. I'm going to try to get there early so I can walk around the park for a while, so hopefully parking won't be as big of a deal.

I'm 7 rows behind home plate.

You should drop about 10 bucks on parking within 3-4 blocks from the Dome. The beer is some of the cheapest in the league, so make sure you take a minute to enjoy a Grain Belt Premium beer.

Hopefully they will be going for a sweep tomorrow, have fun!

Twins talk is making me want to head up there this weekend. I need a couple of days out of hayseed SD.

I'd almost rather sit at the Birdcage for a Canaries game or two instead of spending a nice weekend in the marshmellow...

Canaries games are a good time...but I just want to get out of town.

Wow. Kubel with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs in two innings. Im in an office downtown, and you are at the Dome enjoying this...

:furious:

Great game, great stadium, and I got to piss in a trough, so I felt right at home.

Only problem is that I benched Kubel on my fantasy team today because he had been playing poorly lately.
