I found this story, it would be nice if it did happen.

N'Sync Still In Episode II?
Are they in or are they out? A Lucasfilm spokeswoman told SCI FI Wire that no decision has been made on whether or not boy band N'Sync will appear, however briefly, in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode II--Attack of the Clones, despite word that their footage has been cut. Band member Joey Fatone reportedly told a Florida radio show that negative fan reaction prompted director George Lucas to drop the boys from the movie.
Not so, said Lucasfilm spokeswoman Lynne Hale. "The N'Sync guys were shot as extras ... in a background scene," she said. "Whether that makes it into the movie or not won't be determined until [director] George [Lucas] has a final edit, and he won't have that until close to the time of release." Clones is slated for a May 16 release."

Is it even confirmed that they were in there in the first place?? I mean all the rumors sound nice...I have to check Starwars.com to see if it is even true. Cause to be honest it all sounds like a hoax...some way to hype the movie before it even comes out...

Ok I just went to the force.net which is like the star wars rumor and spoiler site and they say that N'Sync was filmed, but Lucas is leaning heavily towards cutting them out of the film...thank God. I dont have to burn all my Star Wars books that I have accumulated over the years....

I'm boycotting the film. Even if they get cut from it, the very fact that he put them in there initially is enough for me to just finally sever all ties with Star Wars.
Time I grew up a bit, and moved on.

Lucas had edge?
And Lucas officially 'lost edge' back in 83.

Lucas needs to stop hyping up the movie. there was no teaser release for SW: A New Hope...it did great. The only thing i remember for Empire were those glasses you could get at Burger King(i had them all). Same for Jedi.
If he keeps hyping this one just like the last one; giveing hints and rumors, then it will fail to meet our expectations.

In or out, who cares? Episode 1 established that Lucus has given up on making a movie with an interesting story and instead is concerned with nothing but special effects.
Then again, I didn't care for the first three movies, but at least they were story driven, AFAIK.

He's not concerned with the effects. He's concerned with the money, maximizing box office, getting more people to see his movie. He's concerned with the merchandising and how he could get kiddies to love his movie more and more and buy the toys.

Its such as shame too. Stars Wars were such wonderful films, and the corporate money making machine drowns out the fable. I wasnt to crazy about episode 1, and I have fleeting hopes that clones will be better. I ll just wait for the dvd and watch the eye candy that it should have. I bet it would be just as good to watch with the sound off as with it on.
