Lately Fez has been taking stands on certain topics and sticking to his guns. In a way it's a refreshing change from the wishy-washy positions he'd take in the past where he was easily swayed back and forth by Ron, but unfortunately most of his points of view are completely illogical and unrealistic.

I gotta say, I stayed out of the whole Fez/Chuckwagoncook thing for the most part. Parts of it upset me to hear Fezzie getting that fired up, and parts of me knew we didnt have the whole story. I didnt want to jump entirely on the whole "Fez went overboard" thing till I had all the facts.

And a lot more light got shed. I saw how that guy Chuckwagon freaked out on Fez on the phone. Couldnt handle the discussion and he even posted how he felt in the listening forum. Sure he listed his entire case and how wanted to meet Fezzie for the trot. To be honest it looked a little pushy for me. At least a little bit more pushy than how I personally would have of broached the subject. But seeing him state his case, I have to say that Chuckwagon came off a little rabid there in that thread. After seeing how he acted almost like a jilted GF, I have to say that maybe Fez was a little justified in lashing out how he did.

Lets look at it this way. Ok, sure Ron and Fez are national radio guys and they are a lot more accessible to their fans than many radio people. But they also deserve to have their private lives as well. I know many of us are happy to have of had photos with the boys, or been able to hang and have a good conversation or two, but their is a line as to displaying something that makes you happy and going over the top. Basically, there is a thing as backing away a little bit and allowing someone to have their private life. Whether that person be Fez, GVAC, Doogie, etc. they deserve a right to their privacy and people should respect that.

It made Fez a little more assertive this week, ok. That is one assesment of the situation. I personally see a guy that got tired of being bothered by an overzealous fan and he lashed out against it. Lets face it, Fez could be a real dick and have stalking charges brought against him, but then again that would also negate the reason to have RF.net. I am happy to see Fez a little more assertive as well, although I wish he would get a little more information before debating an argument (ie deer relocating) so that he can keep that assertiveness going. Asides from that, I see it as a good thing for Fez. Keep it up brother.

I think (for whatever reason) Fez has resolved to be more assertive , not more rational . Fezs problems arise from inner debate , and seems a little wishy washy . I think he is usually in a consant state of indecision.

I am all for Fez being more assertive. I even find some of his opinions reasonable, like gay marriage. OK, the master plan for deer transportation and allowing Iran to become a nuclear power are more questionable but, hey, let the gays marry.

Fez has always makes me laugh, and I’m glad to hear him more active in the show in any capacity. But it sounds like the recent hot button issues are all newly important to him so he doesn’t yet have the supporting arguments figured out. It brings back memories of Earl defending religion and how he turned me against religion with some of his on air discussions with Ron. In the last week, Fez's arguments have turned me into an anti-gay marriage, Iranian hating, deer hunter, but the show is still the best thing going today. Keep it up FezFez!

I agree with the "no negativity on ronfez.net" camp on one point. It's going to accomplish nothing. I love the show and want it to get better and bitching about it on the board won't help.

Fez sounds like he is in a rough spot at the moment. Maybe it's me, but the chuckwagon fight, deer and Iran discussion, and increasing shrillness about gay issues has fallen a bit flat and has made him sound disturbed. I'm not sure if there are many who would disagree. I know some diehards think they literally can do no wrong. The three of them could had a fart contests or played weasel sound recordings for four hours and someone will write, "fuck, that was hilarious!". I'm sure these same people will probably soon be posting "Fuck you, man, Fezzie rules!!""If you hate the show so much then why listen?!" in response to what I am writing here.

It seems to me, however, that the show is not at its best. I don't know how much of what Ron says about Fez and ESD on the air is what he says privately but he sure seems unhappy with the current state of the show. Of course, this could be some hilarious bit that I am not getting. Maybe they had a meeting month ago and said, "hey, how about we pretend the show is shit. Ron can make snide comments about how he misses Earl, production sucks, and Fez is batshit crazy. We can even get that guy chuckwagon to call in and start a fight with Fez to make them both look like lunatics". If that's the case, bravo

But here is where I agree with the diehards. I'm sure everyone in the show is aware of how it should get better. Bitching about it here doesn't help and seems to make it worse, especially for Fez. He seems genuinely rattled by some of the negativity here.

I don't, however, want this to be a strictly enforced positive zone. I can't imagine anything more boring than a steady diet of "wow, Fez got angry, that was hilarious!""We luv you Fezzy!""oooh, that Chuckwagon makes me so mad! leave Fezzy alone!" But maybe this has become pro-wrestling and we are supposed to cheer on Fezzy against the big bad Chuckwagon.

The argument of "The definition of the word "marriage" means blah blah blah blah" is the exact same illogical arguments that fit in with "lets ship the deer to montana".

I would add to this that most Americans are uncomfortable with sex. They hate public displays of affection. They can't talk about heterosexual sex without loading the discussion with euphemistic vocabulary. They are frightened that their offspring may actually have sex. Many women in America are so heavily ashamed of their bodies they describe people who find them attractive to be insane or perverted. Many guys consider crying tantamount to performing oral sex on a strange man. People who date people outside of their weight class, social class, race, or age group are considered alternately sociopathic or lucky.

There are so many factors that affect the way people judge relationships, gender and sexuality that even straight people have hundreds of ways that people discriminate against them.

Your best bet is to grow thick skin. If you want to have sex with a man, go for it. If you are athletic and you marry a fatso, anticipate snickers and laughter. If you are over 65 and you marry someone who is dramatically younger than you, expect discrimination.

As far as the secret is concerned, be prepared to put up with people not supporting your decision. Life is too short to waste worrying if you make your family cry because you are one way or another.

Hedid the research the next day and presented an even more outlandish cost breakdown in the 300 Billion range to move the deer from Pennsylvania alone. How is this not comic genius and NOT just Fez being assertive ?

I guess it seems crazy cause we are seeing him change roles.we always thought dave was a bit out there, Ron was teh guy with teh shady past and stories from it. Fez was always considered "normal".
