A properly cooked steak takes, at most, 10 minutes total. What could be the point of pre-cooking????? The man should be ashamed for even admitting this act.

In a hotel or restaurant kitchen there are times when it is nessesary to precook (mark off) steaks. But only for a large group. (100 or more people.) Otherwise you suck.

I think you misunderstood me. I'm proposing that he precooked the steak for his wife, but ate his right away. If his wife wants a reheated steak, why should he care. She probably doesn't even blow him anymore. But if a GIRLFRIEND wants a steak, then he definitely, should serve it fresh.
