The Nightmare Thread

Had a dream that scared the shit out of you? Don't be frightened, post here and get off your chest.

Last night I dreamed I was turned into a fish but retained human consciousness, and spent the entire time swimming around a portion of a reef in almost total darkness avoiding getting eaten by fish and eventually sharks, including a great white. Also I had a friend who was also turned into a fish who got eaten whole by the great white, who appeared out of the darkness really suddenly. It was scary as shit.
Anyone else have a rough one last night during sleepy time?

i have nightmares all the time.

the one that occurs (or recurrs) the most is the one about the zombie apocalyspe.:glurps:

they are always the same. so i wont bother posting those. and no i dont watch horror movies. i do everything i can to avoid them totally.

i'll post the rarer ones as they occur.

edit: and i have to let jabbers know about this thread. his dreams/nightmares are the stuff of legend. they will knock your socks off in their strangeness

Last night/this morning i had a dream that a guy who looked like Carl from ATHF was beating my cat in a backyard.

The night before i had a dream that i was watching a movie with Anne Hathaway while popping pills and i ended up really messed up hallucinating.

The night before THAT i had one but i can't remember it now.

had a dream once where the moon became bright red and started getting closer and closer to earth

moon was on fire and as it approached you could feel the heat




i woke up suddenly, ran to the window, and the moon was low in the sky but huge and closer than i ve ever seen it and it was bright red


scared the fucking shit outta me

PTSD gives me some doozies.

Mostly are the dead people I dealt with, some of it I won't talk about here, and some of it I am fighting. I had hurt my ex in my sleep before the meds. With the meds the acting out occurs more seldom and usually involves cussing and running.

Last night I dreamed me and a friend from high school brutally murdered someone (a celebrity actually, but I don't remember who) and were messy with the evidence. So naturally we were going to get caught and I had to deal with the fear of that. Luckily I woke up before we got caught. It sucked.:flush:

I rarely, if ever, remember my dreams.

Scientists say we all dream, so I take their word for it, otherwise I'd swear that I don't.

I remember 1 or 2 dreams a year, that's it.

No nightmares, though.

I don't think I would call them night mares, but the dreams that wake me up are one about stuff I could have to deal with the next day. Spring time is the worst.

It's bizarre this thread was started as I had a nightmare this past Sunday.

I have crazy, lucid dreams all the time but rarely nightmares. I guess the combination of True Blood, Dusk Before Dawn and catching the ending of The Strangers that night had me in a small room with demons and vampires breaking through the walls with a loud pounding sound
that was so real and loud that I could feel the wood splinters piercing my face and claws ripping the paint off the walls.

I jumped up at almost 5am and never got back to sleep.

The other night I dreamt I was taking glittery shots in some club with these weird girls.

Then there was glitter and green paint all over my face.

Then I was embarrassed, but I should have known!

The girls that got me to do them were from HS that I really dont trust.

So I went to the bathroom to get it off, I guess I was scratching my face??

The paint came off but I was bleeding and my hair was all wet.

In high school, I always had the dream where all of my teeth fall out. I haven't had in a few years, though (knock on wood).

On Friday night, I had a nightmare that my 22 month old daughter jumped in a pool that was 4 ft deep, and I thought she could swim. So she was at the bottom of the pool, and by the time I got to her she was blue. I hit her on the back a little bit and she started to breath kind of wheezing like. I called 911, and they said oh she's fine. Give her some motrin.
