I like the choices they have and usually shop at farmer markets WHEn we have them around.

I do sometimes buy things they say are organic in the store but i can never really feel as i can trust those.

they are in grocery stores after all.

How often do you buy Organic?

I only really do it when it's convenient, but there are some organic food stores in my hometown that have great carryout.

yeah. living in mid-central US and then central IL doesnt really make getting these things easy.

Like i said the only good thing we have now is farmer markets during the summer which recently started.

They are nice as we are not a huge city so we pay barely anything for the produce straight from the farmers.

Yeah there isn't a whole lot of farmers markets where I'm from (Temecula), but the organic thing is big so you can always get organic dishes.

If 'organic' makes you feel better then, by all means, buy it. Personally, I don't think it means much. Buying from a local farmer/gardener will likely give you the best quality, organic or not.

I get a box of organic fruits and vegetables delivered to my door every week for $27. It's fantastic. The stuff is much, much smaller than what you buy at a store, but the flavor is so much more. It's amazing.

We got some tomatoes this week that almost made me cry. They were so fucking flavorful.

I have a Farmer's Market just south of where my property is where I stop when I can. I love fresh produce but in the grocery store I won't bother. Oh, and I grow my own stuff too.

I was disgusted at how enormous the potatoes and tomatoes were at the supermarket the other day. Growth hormones FTL.

It seems like the bigger something gets, the less flavor it has. It's terrible.

The guy I buy produce from for my customers feels the same way. I am so glad I don't have to buy much in the winter.

its almost like making a reduction. At full it does have flavor, but when reduced has a shit ton more with more complex flavors as well
