I could see Fez doing regular DJ work in Tampa. His 'serious radio voice' is pretty good, it wouldn't take him long to remember what it takes to spin discs.

Dave is the future of radio, I have little concern for his ability to land on his feet.

I think Carrolla is actually bigger now with his podcast than he was before. It's nice to see someone show that you don't need a radio show.

If it all did go down, I would be bummed. I'm not sure I'd demand more and more though. I'd be up for whatever they offered, but if they chose to ride off into the sunset I'd be cool with that too. I think a person with Ron's creativity would probably find an outlet somwhere, and Fez may get a gig on a E! type radio channel. He really seems into tabloid/pop culture stuff. Dave is coming into his own right now. I don't know if lead guy is his bit, he really does well playing off of a straight character. It's no knock against him, but he really does work good setting up things to go off of.

I wish em all the luck, and hope they keep entertaining for years to come.

I think Dave is an amazingly important part of the current Ron & Fez show. He's been Ron's go-to guy when Fez wasn't able to be there and he's provided us listeners with some great radio since he's been on the show.

I just don't understand going to a fan board of anything and trashing that thing. It doesn't make any fucking sense to me.

There's a difference bt trashing him or just fucking with him. Sure SP1 is in your wheelhouse bc he's a broken record. Still, he was/is a poster here almost as long as me and he used to roll with it in the past. You can't be a part of the show and change what you are and how you react to barbs. It's funny. I remember back when they were on WJFK, and they rarely mentioned the board. During the move to XM, they mentioned they would be working more with RF.net. People were excited about even being mentioned. I'm not complaining. I really like that they talk about the board. I just find the change to be interesting.

I have a clear disdain for Gaz, that much is clear. However, I'd never push to have his posting abilities revoked (not that I could). My point is, let people post their thoughts good or bad. At least this way you know where they stand and who they are. I'd much rather have people show their true color versus hide it and just flow with the crowd.

Are these people annoying, sure. So have fun with them rather than trying to change them all. It's simply not going to happen, as I know with Gaz. I'll rip him until I bore of it (not likely) bc it's fun for me. I guess we all have our reasons to be here tied to a show we all/most really love. The show ends when either Ron or Fez retires. Or when Fez dies of a massive anxiety attack (God forbid!).

I don't see it happening any time soon. They're too good of a team, been together too long. You could tell that Mike and the Mad Dog hated each other, that Don and Mike didn't always get along...but Ron and Fez are too tight. It'll never happen. And just like O&A, they could literally get a job working in any market in the country. It wouldn't be an issue.

Dave is a genius, however, I must mention that. He brings so much to the show. Even drunk out of his mind he's hilarious. I do believe that he could make it on his own, but he would be wise to stay with the show. And to pull out now and then. I'm just sayin'.

Well, he is offering a "free" podcast. When you have a free podcast you can gage who will listen to your show if it is offered free of charge (basically what terrestrial radio is only commercial free.)

A smart radio mind would market a free Ron and Fez podcast that has the same entertaining, sarcastic and funny live reads. If you can prove you have an audience of loyal fans, I think you could do a radio-free radio show.

But, I'm not taking up the topic of The Ron and Fez Show on XM being canceled other than to say that if Ron and Fez are not good enough for XM to keep, what makes anyone think that East Side Dave or Chris Stanley will have a place to go? I would have thought Sirius/XM hiring Mooch would've been a slam dunk... but...

Sorry Joe, i was referring to ESD there and really didn't make it clear. SP1 rips esd all day, and my point was dave can and or should be able to roll/hang with it.

I don't think Dave has ever complained about SP1, so I don't think there's an issue. The SP1 posts that make people :wallbash: are the ones where he presents his opinions about Dave as undeniable facts and basically says the same thing over and over again. Still, I don't think he's on the level of some of the uber-trolls.

Hey I agree with pretty much everything you said, especially how he presents his opinions as fact just like someone else we all know and love (my fav). Still, we truly go overboard at times defending those who surely can do so themselves and truly shouldn't let them bother them. I think we flame at times when we should be happy people show their true colors Lauper style.
