Could be. Type 2 Diabetes greatly increases your risk of heart disease. My mom died of congestive heart failure that was related to her Diabetes. Since high blood pressure, high cholesterol and being overweight can cause Diabetes, heart disease, and strokes it's hard to tell what is related to what. All I know is I don't want any of them.

I dont think ive ever had beer only b/c of the alcohol content. It depends on what mood im in. light beer, stout, ale, ipa, etc

I completely disagree with Ron on that - it is sometimes really nice to have a beer with food or just sitting around.

Not everybody is an addict or has an addictive personality. I can easily sit down and have just one beer, enjoy it, and not have another.

I wish the Canadians would take specifically about which of their beers are good. Off the top of my head I can name excellent Belgian, German, UK, and smaller American breweries that are all excellent. there is only one Quebec beer that I have had that can compete.

There are a whole bunch of weird laws. When I was in Salt Lake City, and bought a mixed drink, they had a limit on how much alcohol could be in one drink. I think they even had a special device on each bottle that measured out the exact amount they could have in each drink.

So you can't get drunk there, but, it's okay to baptise dead jewish victims of the Holocaust.

They do have those measuring devices. They are set to just shy of a regular one ounce shot.

half my family is Canadian and I have heard this crap my whole life. there is excellent smaller brewery American beer. I love my Canadian family but it drives me up the wall when they get so proud of Candadian beer being better than American.

Victory V-12 was present. Couple Fantomes, Smuttynose, Saison Dupont, Ommegang Hennepin. I forget the rest.
